Did they make that up to justify the existence of the AI Content team ??? :ROFLMAO: Another filler activity to spend some of that (almost) $550 million dollars on!!

I am pretty sure the AI team would be better off spending their time on NPC combat ??

Remember when they were just in the polishing phase of SQ42 and SC way back in 2014-2015? So many things still need to be done that show those statements to be outright lies by CIG, unless they planned to release SQ42/SC without NPCs being able to throw grenades and a plethora of other stuff.

Still, good to see them working hard on the really important stuff, like the "chowline", its surely going to be the Best Damn Space Cafeteria Simulator Ever!!!

Personally i'm hoping they next work on the soap bubble effects in the sinks for when NPCs are doing the dishes. I won't settle for anything less than max fidelity there!

Oooh, blast from the past!

I remember the video where CIG were so proud of animating a model of an alien and make it follow a target a thrust a spear at it! Really cutting edge stuff and not at all something any junior animator learns how to do in their first year studying animation.

One janky wheel loss and one inexplicable explosion within a minute of starting the race 😁

Reckon this guy's theory probably nails it. There was an invulnerability bug in the armistice zone for a few patches. That was probably accidentally stopping the buggies from living their usual best life, as flaming jank-mobiles of doom ;)
