Any leads on upcoming DLC?

Just finished a major build in my main zoo, and before I start planning the next one does anyone know anything semi-official about the next DLC timing/content? It's been almost three months, wouldn't surprise me if we get something in the next month or two and I'd like to wait and have it before beginning another major project.

I'd be expecting an announcement sometime between 1 week and a month from now. Basing it off of past years.

Personally I'd expect an announcement by the end of this month, with a release date maybe on April 11th.

If Frontier sticks to its pattern of releasing DLC on the week before Easter it would be on April 4th.

As to what that DLC would be, there are several competing theories for what could come this year. Not sure that anything interesting has been found in datamining.

I think steam also changed some things on how updates to thinks were viewed, or how deep those views go could. I think it was after the leak of the Africa Pack. Not that it was just for Planet Zoo, just in timing, it was between the time the Africa Pack and North America pack came out. But then again I seem to recall something from before the Europe release, so maybe not.

At any rate, I'm thinking that people aren't able to dig into the files on steam as much as they were before. Thus, the dramatic fall off on any kind of real leads. What we have are basically release patterns....the whole when/time between packs and then the porcupine folder that doesn't directly apply to any animal - yet that could also be something that was added long ago and then not followed up on --- yet anyways.

I think I heard that someone found some files at the start of the year hinting this year's dlc slots but apart from that data mining is pretty much dead

yeah I do recall that. it was 4 slots...which got us through the Grasslands pack. Would be wonderful if someone were able to get in there somehow and see how many folders are in there now.

I compared the announcement and releases of both the twilight pack and the grasslands animal pack. In both cases the announcement was made two Fridays before the new update. Two Fridays before April 4 2023 is 24 March 2023.
