What are the chances of Frontier updating older Animals?

Heyo, what do you think are the chances of Frontier revisting the older animals?
What i mean by that are that a lot of the base game animals are looking a little dusted in comparission to the new animals. They really did step up their game when it comes to quality of the models, textures and furshaders.
Another thing that i noticed is how much better the traverseable area has gotten over the years, i build a habitat for nile monitor the other day and it was a nightmare. Their traverseable area is so horrendous that you cant build detailed enclosures for them at all. Unfortunately this is somewhat common among the base game animals.

So what do you think are the chances? And what would you like to see updated? Lion and tapir are a nobrainer :)

For animals I would want to be actually reworked if it happens:
  • Zebra along with most base game hoofstock
  • Himalayan Brown Bear
  • Malayan Tapir
  • Saltwater Crocodile
  • All primates minus Siamang
  • All big cats
Might sound a bit drastic but comparing base game content to recent dlc is just shocking. It's great frontier has greatly improved but like half of the base game animals are generally poor in one aspect or another

That would all depend on community demand, look what happened with the Binturong. Make a petition with request and have everyone in the forum with a like mind sign it.

I would say that if they were to do it, it'd be most likely around the time when game support ends and/or when they release the last of the DLCs. Then they can "clean up" the designs before leaving us with them.

Not that great, but IMO I think some of the criticisms have gained backing simply because they exist in the first place. To that I mean, there will be a little talk about wanting an update of an animal, which then someone who'd never really gave thought to having an update suddenly wants one and adds to that discussion, and then someone else, who also never really thought about an update...adds to that discussion.

Essentially I feel like some of the criticisms are overexaggerated. Not intentionally, but just by nature of a discussion.

The Malayan Tapir is really the only animal that needs an overhaul, IMO, because it does not look like the animal it's supposed to represent.

The Lion, I do see the issues that are mentioned and there is some merit to getting it updated, since it's one of those more iconic zoo animals.

The only ones that I think really need really need it are the Malayan tapir and most climbing animals that stay on the ground all the time, specifically koalas.

Wouldn't mind just a little rework on the lion, timberwolf and Saltwater croc though.

The koalas were generally fixed in the last update (or twilight I can't remember). They will climb at least now but still require a major rework along with every single tree dwelling animal. Even my capuchin monkeys prefer the ground these days for some odd reason

Tbh most of these are not a priority when compared to the lion.

I don't think the primates are bad at all.

And i would add the spotted hyena to that list.

Ive heard multiple people say that they will use mods after Support ends. Whats up with that? Whats stopping you from using them now? Genuine question

Getting them now you'd have to reinstall them alongside each update for them to work. Once support is done then they'll probably just make finished final mods. Also with new species mods I'll wait till the end cause the devs could always release that animal or release one that makes a better rig for it.

Yeah I know I was just being picky there, if we are talking absolutely dire reworks the lion and tapir are needed
