Odyssey (mis)adventures

How did you turn 180 degrees @ 7:55?
Sorry I missed this yesterday. It's really just an extreme example of all in-air SRV manoeuvres. Since you have no yaw control what you have to do is use a combination of pitch and roll. Basically if you pitch the SRV down (and imagine the extreme example of pointing down at the ground), then at that point roll will spin you directly around the compass). So in the example you mention I pitch down, then roll back around the way I came and pitch back level again. There's another nice move you can use (don't think there's an example in this one) where you roll onto your side (again in mid air) and then pitch up to pull your nose around the compass before rolling back level again. You can perform lovely 360's to take in the view by doing that.

I now realise there was another couple of videos I probably should have dropped into this thread.

First up is this one where I used a little trick I picked up from Ghost Giraffe to drop some cargo cannisters into the concourse area of a planetary port.

And the second, while not exactly qualifying as a (mis)adventure, is my 2nd place run at the Canonn Speed Scanning Challenge.

Oh, and what the hell ... there's a mountain climb I did too that turned out quite nicely.
