Maybe, how close is the system to the stargoids?
Just one thing though, D2 knows a lot more than we do about them.
It's possible this is something quite different and not thargoid in origin..

I wanted to know just how deep Thargoid emotions run, so I found a praying mantis and told it that it would never amount to anything.
The results of my testing are inconclusive. The mantis has yet to respond, although it's possible that this is because she's a sociopath.
If the Guardians show up, I'm shooting them on sight, because I take "Suffer not the alien to live!" very seriously. Stupid xenos... always doing things and stuff. Makes me sick to my stomach.

If the guardians show up, I'll shoot them on sight just because we spent so long (years) asking for some non-combat methods to interact with thargoids, and they (FD) just now decide to pull these a-holes out of the broom closet, aw nah I ain't having it.
Couldn't have put it better. If they Guardian Ex Machina the war after we started it, I'm shooting everything I come across, starting with Artificial Idiocy.

1.D-2 was in Ngaruyanka
2.She jumped to Shangdi
3.Someone was following her and probably found her or something else in Ankaa where debris can be found (I don't think it's debris of D-2 ship).
What I can tell from this is that D-2 ship had around 41LY range (distance from Ngaruyanka to Shangdi nad then to Ankaa is more or less 40 LY) and I think people should be looking for another D-2 sign in 41 LY radious around Ankaa

That's good reasoning for the most part, but it's impossible to tell what happened to whom from the last message. If it's from one of the pursuers, it doesn't prove that Seo was ever there.
But it might've been her that killed her pursuer using something weird, or something else was following her and found her tail instead of her.
Sure there's no clear picture what happened, but if you assume that it was her ship that was destroyed, then it's more or less over.
So far only Ankaa seems to have anything.
There are two seperate destroyed Cobra Mk3 chassis within the "Notable Degraded Emissions" in Ankaa. What ever happened, assuming that it is not randomly generated by FDEV, it destroyed atleast two Cobra Mk3s.
Either:
- both D-2 and one of her pursuers got destroyed (and potentially kidnapped)
- each persuer mentioned in the Shangdi System had back-up, which sounds unlikely considering they decided to split up
- It's just a random generation by FDEV and therefore utterly destroys my immersion.
If somebody wants to check if the Engine sound of D-2s Ship in her last log matches that of a Cobra Mk3 I'd appreciate it.
Either:
