Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Love that roster. I'll be fine with a pack like this one.
Honestly it’s warmed up to me a lot after making it, especially because in my hypothetical scenario we would all get a free walkthrough bird.

My laptop can only handle small zoos, so that’s what I build. So I like rosters that give me more small animals to flesh out my zoo with!

Here is what I would do for the inevitable fall DLC.

While it has been discussed a bit:
  • Children’s Zoo Pack
  1. Dwarf Goat
  2. Squirrel Monkey
  3. Patagonian Mara
  4. Duck species (Mallard/ Mandarin)
  5. Exhibit animal: Jackson Chameleon
  • A lot of the building pieces will be education themed. Animal skeletons, taxidermy, furs/skins, animal models and educational signs. It will also add some more behind the scene stuff to really detail the zoo.
  • The free update will add animal feeding stations, which work with the following: tortoises, giraffes, seals and sea lions, llamas, goats, ducks, etc.
  • The free update will also add the budgie as the first walk through exhibit bird. Base game users still don’t have a use for the walkthrough exhibit in base game, and I feel like they are the perfect option for everyone.

WHAT are you saying? There is never an end to a wishlist of a TRUE zoo nerd. NEVER.
Exactly. I don’t get how anyone could ever describe the game as being complete or xx % complete. There will always be more animals, more plants that we don’t have as well as building pieces and of course more versatile map skirts and biome textures.

When you can realistically build any zoo in any part of the world, from Norway to New Zealand, then we might be able to talk about completion.

This would be maybe my favourite DLC if it came out, not because the animals are very exotic or unique to rig, but because they are essential to the zoo experience in my opinion. The interactions would be the greatest update feature we ever got.

As you can see here (in german) the african dwarf goat is the most common animal in european zoos. Leading with 1134 zoo exhibits, followed by the indian peacock and the european fallow deer. Being the most commonly held zoo animal, I think there is no other animals that we NEED as much as the african dwarf goat in Planet Zoo.

Zoos aren't really a big thing in Norway, but if we got the Musk Ox and the Wolverine (maybe if we are lucky the Walrus and Orca too). Then I would say that Norway's wildlife is perfectly represented within the game.

I don't want support to end at the end of the year, and I still have hope we'll get content into 2024. While the report wasn't heaping praise onto PZ as before, that doesn't mean there won't be anything next year. It is possible though. in truth, 3 and a half years ago, did many of us think we'd still be getting content at this point? It may not be all the exact animals we wanted, but we've gotten more animals that I ever expected to get.

Planco last Dlc was released on 4th june 2019 and the console edition was announced on the 16th june 2020, also i think that the last pack was 15 euros because the Ghostbusters license (Idk how big was the update/contents)

Frontier once said in financal video it is their tactic to release more expensive DLC as last one to grab some money before leaving. PZ is going to get one sooner or later.
