Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

I was thinking, if we were to get a macaw species in game, which one would you all want? If we were to get only one, I'd like the blue-and-gold macaw. If we got two I'd like the green-winged or scarlet.

Since they are essentially reskins, it would be nice to get multiple species that take up one spot in a DLC. Kind of like how butterflies were done. I've never been super desperate for birds, but I've started making a list for essential "zoo" species and am curious on what you all think.

I mean maybe, but the community has made our want for birds VERY apparent. I see comments on every social post and multiple threads here made soley to rant about birds. I know they know.
Which to me means two things:
A: They have no plan to design a system for new animations etc for birds - habitat birds would be alright, but they seem reluctant to add them in unless they're a penguin or ratite. (aside from the RCC of course)

B: they've been working on a lot of this behind the scenes and intend to really wow us with it. It wouldn't have to be all in one pack, but to me it would make sense for it to be at this point.

Of course, if they were doing option B, if they wanted to...give us some confirmation without being completely official about more birds coming in the future, they'd put one in the walk through exhibits. Unless of course, that's exactly what they were doing with bats and butterflies, to test the flying system and show us that it's actually possible.

Option C: they are kept for a sequel.

Already happened with JWE2

Granted, JWE is a sponsored game based on a pre-existing property. It got a sequel because a new movie came out. Planet Zoo does not need to follow that route, personally I think they are planning something. But that might just be hope. Why add walkthrough exhibits if:
A. The number one animals that can use it aren’t in game
B. It’s literally sitting useless in base game

So I think something is coming, I’m wondering if Frontier is being Frontier and keeping it on the down low. Also the peacock, crane, and flamingo rig are ready to be reused. So I’m waiting on that.

I wouldn't read into the walkthrough exhibit being in base game. It's in there so the Twilight pack isn't a necessity for people who want to use the butterflies or the sloths.

Precisely, otherwise they would have to re-release it with every DLC that has animals that need it.

But it's not impossible, though. After all, wouldn't it make sense for them to release at least 1 species in the base game that'll use it?
Otherwise, players who never purchase DLCs will have a useless item

I have a feeling they just release these items that are used by animals from different packs as a base game item so that they do not have to add assets for those items to each invidual pack. Not really for any particular intent of base game animal using it - of course some things like the underwater feeder is used by game game animals too, but I am not sure if Frontier really plans the animals that will be using it that ahead. Easier to just make it base game in case some animals might need to use it in future.
