No we have Aldabra Giant Tortoise, we only have two tortoises, the other being the Galapagos

With that logic shouldn't the Nile crocodile then be excluded because of the saltwater crocodile?
The squirrel monkey shouldnt be that far fetched. I think it would work pretty well as a reskinned capuchin with maybe some new animations. Defintely my favorite among the reasonable options for the anniversary
We already got an anniversary primate.
Baboon as an anniversary animal is a delusional take but by lord if you’re right that’d be the best anniversary ever.

Well we have very few monkeys and plenty of apes and lemurs.
I wouldn't call 3 of 101 lemur species plenty, specially considering that we have two which are from the same genus. But still, monkeys are definitley a bigger priority at the moment.
I think the anniversary animal for this year could probably be one of the following:
- American Black Bear or Spectacled Bear, both easy animals to do, I would prefer spectacled for more SA representation on the base roster
- American Flamingo, because easy clone and bird
- Nile Crocodile wouldn't surprise me either
- Bighorn sheep could also work, just to not overclut the highlands pack with mountain caprines
- Something completely unexpected, like idk, a rabbit

- African leopard (if or in case unable to come up with anymore ideas of DLC packs featuring African and savanna animals)
- Markhor
- Baboon (any species)
- Perentie (if or in case unable to come up with anymore ideas of DLC packs featuring Australian and desert animals)

Rhea - using ratite model
American Flamingo - as mentioned by @Narwhaler
Shoebill - using crane model but I have doubts cuz it may still require unique animations.
Grey Crowned Crane - using crane model; a more plausible choice

For me, my anniversary bird will be any of these (Unless if there will be anymore ideas of DLC packs featuring those above.)
- Rockhopper penguin (could be for Coastal or Bird pack)
- Either American or Chilean flamingo (could be for Packs featuring birds or Central American or Carribean)

The crane could also be a base for various storks like whites and saddlebilled.
Also the peafowl can be used for pheasants, rig and animations are allready good to go, just slap a new skin on there
