This is basically what Minecraft has been doing for forever now. They release an update, wait until the hype dies down, and then announce another and get everyone excited and others to buy the game. Sometimes the updates are bigger than others, some examples being the very large Caves & Cliffs update, and the very small Buzzy Bees update.

It could be anything for sure. But I think at least one if not both of the two packs that will likely come this year will be cooler-biome themed. If not both packs
Tropical - Mostly Warm and usually Wet biome, pack name the same as biome
Arid - Hot and Dry - Desert pack
Temperate/Woodlands - Cooler but not cold, with some wetness
Tundra - Frigid with mixture of wet and dry (wet only because of snow)
They could put in a Taiga biome instead of Temperate or Tundra, which would be Cold but not as cold as Tundra...to me this is the biome that best represents mountains.
What about ungulates? Considering we just got a pack with 6/8 species being ungulates, do y'all think that we'll get any in a mountain pack? I mean, it'd be a waste not to, but considering how a lot of people didn't like ungulates in the last pack (besides them being dominant, didn't some people just not want ungulates period?)
Hmm, is there any similar case of this happening in the past? It could be a small patch, too, like 1.14.2

Maybe base game and early DLC animals will get updates in behavior and enrichment?
Pretty much every dlc getting an update, we may be looking at some juicy new features this update. Hard to say what but something that affects all habitat animals certainly.
Hopefully it gives major updates on a more variety in enrichments for the animals to use. It's about time some of the usable enrichments for certain species were becoming redundant.
