TONIGHT'S PROJECT

I will be rebuilding my PC from Win7 32bit to Win7 Ultimate 64bit.

I dont know why I havnt done this before as ive had the software for a couple of years now. I think i will need to strip the 4GB memory out of my old system and add it to my new system, until i can get the funds for more memory.

Good luck with this Mobius. I have never did an upgrade from the 32 to the 64 bit version before, hopefully it goes smoothly for you. Which reminds me, I've got a recalcitrant Amiga 4000 that needs rebuilding this weekend and it's in a bad mood

Be sure you can get all the little softwares that are 64bit only.
I upgraded to 64bit a few months ago, and found some things I have that are 32bit won't run on a 64bit OS.

i havnt opened my PC in a year and I have this horrible feeling that it only has 2 memory slots, meaning that if i want more i will need to buy 2 sticks of larger memory.

I recently rebuilt my "beast" machine after frying the HD controller chip on the motherboard...

Don't forget, any 16 bit applications that used to run under the 32bit OS will not run under the 64bit OS.

sound advice. im currently deleting my entire 1TB game collection to ensure that the correct version will be downloaded again, plus updating all my 64bit drivers.

thanks to Psykokow donating 16gb Ram i will be adding it when it arrives,.

the main reason for upgrading was the Kerbal Space Program, it crashes when playing in a 32bit OS so i thought as this is the first game i own that has issues with 32bit now is the time to upgrade to 64bit.

as you can see the upgrade has been a sucsess so far, and found that after a year my Pc needed a good vacume.
