Well received, ignore the typo'd hashtagSquadron 42 reviews have been mostly very positive so far. And the game seems to be pretty polished!
SQ404 is the meme ED refugees we lolled at along the way.The only way to play SQ42 is in your head.
Reports of widespread layoffs at CIG are false," a Cloud Imperium representative said. "We have grown from 900 to 1100 employees this year, due to organic growth and the completed acquisition and integration of Turbulent into CIG. As part of this process, we looked at where we could increase efficiency by making sure the key teams working together were co-located, which resulted in us determining 9 roles were better suited in other locations.
When they say "increase efficiency," I have to wonder where they're efficient rather than plodding, bloated, and top heavy?CIG speaks on the sackings thing...

Star Citizen studio denies reports of layoffs as crowdfunding campaign sails past $600M
Cloud Imperium Games says the truth is that the studio has actually grown this year.www.pcgamer.com
If they have gone from 900 to 1100 employees (a 22% increase) while YoY sales are down ~12% and YoY new accounts down ~20% then CiG better hope that somehow CitCon and the end of year sales are amazing. I have a hard time seeing that happening but we'll know soon enough.CIG speaks on the sackings thing...

The long awaited Starfield game has dropped for early pre-order access today and I'm playing in now. But is it the Star Citizen / SQ42 killer people have deemed it to be?
Short answer: HELL TO THE NO.
Now, I've not playing enough through the into story to compare this to SQ42 (and frankly I wouldn't be in the first place, because nobody player or heard anything about that game).
My faith in Star Citizen is reinstated.
CIG is doing it right. Starfield is fun but it's nothing like Star Citizen or what I expect Squadron 42 will be.
"Hey Mike, check out my new Honda!"Spectrum's "other games" section of the forum is full of Starfield threads.
Funny comment here

And
So, his faith in SC is contingent on other games not being what he wants, and not, for example, SC actually being worthy of that faith?
Oh my...
CIG is doing it right... by never producing a product?
what I expect Squadron 42 will be.
It seems SQ42 has a main quest line but also sidequest availables (like SF).What exactly does he expect Squadron 42 to be? I mean it's basically a single player scripted mission as far as anyone knows, what exactly is he expecting? I suspect someone is going to be suffering some huge disappointment.......well I suppose if they aren't already hugely disappointed by its actual failure to exist after ten years plus maybe not, but I suspect Squadron 42, if it does indeed get released, will actually be far worse than anyone expects!
Nah, the ground is not destructible. So, like Minecraft?
I stand corrected, you happen to say sensible thing sometimes. We still don't know
I mean, it´s cheap but great PR as it de facto asumes and tries to signal that SC is a Starfield peer, comparable at the same level.
It is a nice gesture when taken out of context. But they are certainly not peers.
