Summary
System: Senlu
Station: Springer Gateway (Coriolis starport, large pads available, 287 Ls from main star, 44.96 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Bounty Vouchers for Green Party of Senlu
Time limit: 5th October 3309 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Aegis has requested materials to construct sub-surface extraction missiles that recover imprisoned humans from the Titans.
Professor Alba Tesreau, head of Aegis, announced:
Using blueprints provided by Sirius Corporation, engineering teams have worked around the clock to modify sub-surface displacement munitions. These adaptations enable the projectiles to breach sections of the Titans’ hulls and jettison the bio-storage capsules embedded within.

We could spend the next few months in a testing cycle, and ideally that would be the case – but lives are at risk and we can’t be sure how much time our missing have. Therefore, we have approved mass production of these sub-surface extraction missiles. Industrial materials are urgently needed to establish assembly centres, so that we can distribute them as rapidly as possible.
Princess Aisling Duval, who is coordinating the Empire’s involvement with Aegis, transmitted a personal message:
My heart goes out to the families and friends of the millions unaccounted for following the Thargoid invasions. But I urge you all to hold onto the hope of seeing your loved ones again. With this breakthrough, we finally have a chance to rescue some of those poor souls. Nobody doubts that this will be dangerous, and yet if this war has proved anything, it’s that we can rise to any challenge when we work together.
To protect transports, bounty vouchers for all wanted ships in the system will be redeemed by the Green Party of Senlu at Springer Gateway in the Senlu system.
As an additional incentive, participating Commanders will receive:
  • Top 75%:
    • Federal Gunship Aegis Garrison Paintjob
    • Alliance Cruiser Aegis Garrison Paintjob
    • Imperial Clipper Aegis Garrison Paintjob
  • Top 50%: One Sub-surface Extraction Missile
  • Top 25%: Two Sub-surface Extraction Missiles
The campaign begins on the 28th September and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Bounty Vouchers at Springer Gateway. Only Bounty Vouchers handed in after signing up will count toward your personal contribution total. The Bounty Vouchers must have been awarded by either the system's controlling faction, or the major faction aligned with the system controller.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your bounty vouchers will be automatically assigned to them. These bounty vouchers will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these bounty vouchers when they are handed in. The proportion of bounty vouchers assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Springer Gateway is at planet A 1
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Black market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Fleet Carrier Administration
  • Nearest Interstellar Factors (with reasonable in-system cruise distances, other options are available):
    • McArthur Dock & Jensen Horizons in LFT 1672 (Outposts, S/M pads only, 1,061 & 1,034 Ls from main star, 7.63 Ly)
    • Hieb Horizons & Cormack Holdings in LFT 1610 (Outposts, S/M pads only, 75 & 110 Ls from main star, 12.44 Ly)
    • Fung Orbital in Lang Wang (Ocellus starport, S/M/L pads available, 741 Ls from main star, 14.73 Ly)

Why not take a few minutes and setup bounty hunting CG properly? Senlu is owned (again) by Aegis Core - a player faction. Per Inara, they became the owners today, though I suspect that's an error somewhere.

Really, there is NO space bounty hunting available for this CG. This is the second time this has happened in the last 3 CGs. You could, I suppose, drop to a settlement owned by Green Party of Senlu and bounty hunt on foot. Maybe that was the intent, to limit it to some on-foot gameplay and exclude spacers? Again, Green Party of Senlu owns no systems so they can't issue space bounty vouchers.

Hmm, Green Party of Senlu is still the controlling faction although Aegis core has more INF. Not sure how that works.

Yep, I stand corrected. Somehow, Green Party of Senlu is still issuing vouchers. Let's see what happens at the server tick.

If this happens and the non-controlling higher inf faction reaches 60% it'll automatically trigger a coup war, but a regular war from the green party gaining inf is more likely unless they're locked out of conflict.

Dont forget the controller is the faction who owns the most valuable asset of the system, not the highest faction with inf. In some systems there are controllers with only 1% influence.

AEGIS Core isn't a player faction. They've been hand-placed in the system for this CG, although I'm not sure why since they're not controlling the station, paying for the bounties and haven't brought a megaship in.
The previous CG in Rabh had a PMF named Aegis Imperium, that did seem to be a mix-up.

Server tick fixed the factions and the CG host is now at the inf top.

FYI, KWS bounties seem to have no effect when turned in. Perhaps because the host faction is not present in any other system? In the last CG, some of the KWS bounties were recognized towards the total.

Already past Tier 1. Good luck all!

haven't brought a megaship in.
You might have noticed it by now, but the Orunmilla is actually in the system. It was yesterday, anyway.

My question always is, if it is there, why are we taking a two-step process of delivering to a port first, which then has to move the materials to the megaship? Or are they just telling the locals to do the work for them with those materials while the actual Aegis workers sip coffee?

(I guess it could just be cause megaship designers loved the idea of a single large landing pad for the big hauling ships…)

Newbie here. Do I understand this correctly: "Protecting" the shipments to Senlu does not involve going into OPEN, finding CMDRs in need of assistance, and then blasting whoever it is that's trying to stop them. "Protecting" means signing up for the CG, going to Senlu, even in SOLO, and just blasting any wanted NPCs we find. Meanwhile, the actual CMDRs doing the hauling still have to fend for themselves against NPCs because there really are no actual protectors around. Do I understand that correctly?

If that's correct, then what is the advantage to me in participating in this protection CG as opposed to killing wanted NPCs anywhere else? Are the payouts higher or are there a significantly greater number of NPCs to shoot, even in SOLO?

Thanks.

P.S. Just to be clear: Nothing I'm saying is intended as complaint or criticism. I'm just trying to understand how it all works to ensure I do it correctly.

After the CG ends you get rewarded with free paint jobs / modules (assuming your contributions were high enough).

You always can play in open and attempt to protect other random players if you want, from both NPCs and other players. You just don't have to, for your contributions to count towards the total.

Terrible of Kietrax to not get up early to change the thread title - such a slacker 😡

I guess it makes a change from 'ware modulez?' ;)
