That is a badass name for a character, for example in a (space) western setting.'Red Stanton'
Also - bombs kill you if you are inside the buildings, so 'kill NPC' missions should be easy![]()
I can see that making PvP "fun" as well. See someone run into a building? Drop a bomb outside and laugh as they die.
I don’t believe they can run the entire cloth sim on their server no- it’s interacting with server side stuff 3d data though yes; but there’s at least a mesh of 64x64=4096 3d points on that cloth, they struggle with 50 players and those npcs so yeah… an extra 4096 3d points to pass around… nah. That jitter... did they actually replicate cloth physics over the network? If so, that's impressively insane, even by CIG standards.
Don't let these "Behemoths" hit you on your way out. That’s got to be a euphemism, surely?
Anyway, the morning coffee is now kicking in - I’m off for my daily massive content drop![]()
At its core, it's clear that making PvE and PvP players coexist in Star Citizen will be a tough nut to crack.
I don't think it's as tough as people think it is. It just needs them to follow through on their plan to try and make players and NPCs indistinguishable.
Inconsistent at times and currently overwhelming.

Pros
-Majority of team members that I work with, as well as my supervisor, friendly and helpful. You will make great friends here in various areas of the company, -The projects you get to work on are amazing.
-Holidays.
-Internal promotions are more likely here than any other places I have worked at.
-Other reviews list HR as a con, but I don't have an issue with them apart from the con listed below.
Cons
-The hiring practices now seem very inconsistent, a clear example being that very inexperienced members are hired because they stream and their partner works here. This doesn't help the nepotism reputation that CIG has garnered.
- (This will probably ruin my anonymity) Adding on to the previous point, despite for the most part, having staff moving onto the same project now. It's still overwhelming, we still need more hands. I've raised this concern in the past but clearly it's ignored. A few of us in various areas feel this way, all working in different roles. So it's an issue in more than one area of the company. We do have a lot of staff, so maybe it's a management issue rather than a lack of staff issue?
- Very disorganised at times however this can be due to the actual project rather than the company. So I wouldn't hold this point against them.
Advice to Management
Can we please move more staff to assist various areas such as networking, QA and production. Or at least hire more people for these areas. If these cons don't change any time soon, you will lose some of us. I know I have been exploring other options for 6ish months now. As well as a few others.
Latest Glassdoor.
TLDR: More Q&A & Networking resources plz. And fewer streamer devs...

"accomplishments"CIG is apparently putting EA and Activision to shame. To be fair, i don't think EA or Activision need any help in the shame department.
Ha, when I clicked the link to watch on youtube I got a scam currency trading advert. Apt, I thought. The gaslighting is great in this one, Jesus Christ please wait until it's released before you cream all over it.
Chris Roberts studied Physics not Geography. What, you think physicist knows about temperature and evaporation? Not Chris Roberts.I also found it a bit weird that Pyro I - with its 300C surface temperature - is seen from space as a blue planet with fluffy white clouds.
