That reminds me, will sausage pricking be available on the culinary skill tree?

Don’t want split sausages when we are preparing a feast for the org highups when they meet in their conference room to conduct org business!

I feel like you don't go far enough brother. Do we really want people who haven't invested at least 10,000 dollars to even be able to cook sausages?

Won't anyone think of the mocap artists?
 
I must confess when I think 'space sim' the first 3 things that come to mind are -

  • Bed sheet tech
  • bins full of cans
  • pooping animations

Everything else is just fluff and filler.

Of course I agree, these things are absolutely mandatory. As are procedural fried eggs:

A release? No, there is no release. Same old broken crap we're making fun of. A new planet has gone into "public testing" and it's just as broken. Some say the public test world negatively affects the live built, which is incredible.

Current state:

Pyro Preview Channel: In its own test servers because Server Meshing is too amazing to work yet. Firewalled to Concierge (💲), Citcon ticket holders (💲), and players with the most hours in game (🪣) initially. Running 8hrs a day. For a few weeks seemingly.

EPTU (3.21.1): Getting hurried out because of IAE. Adds stuff like tractor beams for ships / new exciting ways to explode. New 'SQ42 AI' (which seem remarkably like the old AI, only with more animations). And also old things, like 'Siege of Origin', which is still poo. Generally very unstable.

PU: Seemingly falling apart because of all the other modes being run concurrently. (Loads of performance issues and regressions: Hull C not being able to dock properly again, ships blown up by desynched hangar doors etc)

Behold the "feature complete" SQ42 that only needs polishing! SQ42 monthly report

Work also began on a new SQ42-specific frontend, making it feel like an extension of the game world. It will feature a changing environment reflecting how far through the campaign players are and be populated with collected items.
The first iteration of ground fog was also made available...
...work on the new temporal cloud render mode will commence in November.
