How many more Scenery packs do we need?

There are probably not many DLCs left but it looks like most scenery themes are already offered? I know the North American native theme is still absent, the Aviary and Aquarium themes are highly demanded by a lot of players. What else themes do you think are necessary and can't be done by the scenery pieces that we have in the current game? I see some people mention the Central American and Himalayan theme, I do see someone made the Meixcan building and Bhutan Temple in YouTube, although Mexico is not a true Central American country, it also used to be colonized by Spain so should share some similarities of architectures?

Need? Log Cabin or something similar that would work in an Alpine, or Woodlands type of pack. Mainly because the existing wood pattern for the main wood set is on a different axis than most wood buildings are built from, and since those main pieces are gridded items they can't be inverted, at least not by players. While this seems more of a North American set is could also just lend itself to something more medieval.

Wants are a bit different. Would love some type of Central American Adobe or Hacienda themed sets, also would love a Bavarian/Tudor set (which can be created with what we have now, but they are done with multiple existing pieces, so it's a laborious process even when saving them as blueprints. I'd also really like an American Wild West theme.

It is possible that the Frontier gonna offer a Latin or Central America-themed scenery pack this Spring, which provides new exhibit: Walkthrough Aquarium Tunnel, Hacienda and Caribbean architecture sets (like those colorful houses in Aruba, but I am not sure whether the materials we have now can already make it), the species may include the West Indian Manatee, Coati (South America or White-nosed, depend on it is Latin or Central America title), Ocelot (the rig-changing species of Clouded Leopard), probably two cloning species American Flamingo and White-tailed Deer (or Brazilian Tapir if it is Latin America pack). Why have Manatee? B/c if the exhibit species is just a Terrarium species or another bat, this pack may be the lowest-sold pack ever:devilish:.

Compared to the Bavarian/Tudor set, I think an Eastern Europe set is more prior b/c it may not be created with what we have currently.

I think indigenous First Nations of the Northwest coast could work. They could also give us more signs and props featuring lots of North American animals, most of which don't currently have a cohesive theme in the game binding them together. (Would be great for players who don't like the signs that came with the North America pack!) A lot of animals in the game have spiritual significance to coastal first nations as well.

Coastal first nations made totem poles and plank houses. I believe totem poles were used to represent cultural beliefs, legends, clan lineages, and ancestors, so I'm not sure they'd want them in a game where you can just plop them around like building blocks. But there's already modern architecture that respectfully incorporates their art, so it could be doable:

I would love this one!

That's why i support the idea of NA scenery pack with boreal animals: ABB, musk ox, wapiti, Canadá lynx or coastal: sea otter, pelican, ABB, puffin.

The one flaw there is that there has already been two North American scenery packs with European themed sets and predominantly North American animals.

They could just make totem poles of the animals that would come in the pack and maybe a couple of extra things, elides, they did the Tiki Heads in Oceania and that stone statue of a person sitting in Tropical

The Arctic pack isn't remarkably North American imo, like you don't say "oh yeah this is a North American centered pack" when you see it, so I think they can pass another one. I don't like the idea of a NA scenery pack centered about lame temperate NA animals tho.

The current wishlists for NA aren't even wishlist any more, they are just literally just naming the few large species in the continent left unrepresented. Where is the appeal in that? They're the low appeal leftovers, a goat, a deer, a bear. Only people who really want those specific species would buy a pack with those. Walrus, musk ox, sea otter, arctic hare, canada goose, even the vancouver marmot or the possum are way more appealing species that would be way more fun and engaging to have in the game.

Regarding scenery itself yes, the native american theme is still missing and I really hope we get something from the Pacific northwest as I usually add in my wishlist, I think the best way to implement this theme is to combine in with wood cabin pieces. Regarding totems they are kind of a tricky aspect because totem poles are sacred and their portrayal in popular culture for decorative purposes is usually offensive and disrespectful. I think the portrayal of native american culture in games being a pretty sensitive matter might have played a role on why the game doesn't have that theme yet, I expect they approach it the same way they did with the Australia pack if they do it.

My commentary on other themes people have mentioned in the forums:

- Colonial/latin/central american theme. Normally I would say yes, but right now I will say no because I want an animal pack for Central/South America and I think it's highly unlikely that they will make 2 packs centered about that region this year when big sellers from at least 3 other themes (mountains with markhor and pallas cat, NA with muskox and walrus, africa with secretary and baboon) are also potential packs. Pass.

- Mongolian or Russian themes, besides that I have never seeing anyone asking for such themes, the Eurasia pack clearly indicates they aren't going to give us those. Hard pass.

- Nepali theme. not sure, I think there was some requesting in the early times of the game? But honestly I couldn't care less about another Asian theme. Pass.

- Farm theme. No. Use conservation and aquatic.

- Aquarium / Aviary theme. Not happening but they would be cool.

OK, other than NA scenery, what kind of theme do you think the Frontier would tend to offer in the future DLCs

What about Egypt? I know Africa kinda already has it but there’s always room for improvement.

Apart from really specific decorations, the ancient egypt theme is already covered. Plaster pieces from both the base game and the africa pack and the africa pack animal themes allow anyone to make egypt themed scenery areas. I would prefer the middle east and its unique architecture to get a theme before returning to yet another african one.

My opinions on themes
If we were to do a NA theme, I would see a Haida theme or a new Frontier ( 1700s-1800s vibe not the studio). It can be done like the tropic dlc where we have 2 animals from the theme, 2 that are from same biomes but different continent and whatever for the exhibit or WE and name temperate or woodland idk. Say 2 NA, 2 europe and idk animals.

Not sure how I’d feel about a Central American build.
I don’t know if Europe needs anymore build types.
When it comes to Africa, I don’t really want Egyptian theme, i say the Morocco theme is enough.

Perhaps another Asian that gives Tibet, Korea or Japan some architecture? Tanuki, yak, golden pheasant, Pallas cat and my long desired Koi/carp pond as a WE.

I’d really like a Worlds Fair theme. Got the idea from playing anno 1800. Ribbons, flags, all sorts of colors, new venders, music stages. Random animals preferably not found on the same continents.

SA and AU don’t need any more builds, they need animals. I would be happy to just have animal dlcs from here on out to be honest.

Native American scenery could be blended with somewhat of a log cabin or lodge theme. I could see a Himalayan Theme, but I don't really know if a Central American Aztec theme would really be necessary.

Someone already did the quite nice Bhutanese temple, the Tropic pack also provides Asian pagoda pieces which also can work on Nepal buildings, so is the Himalayan scenery theme really necessary?

Need? 0.

If PZ is ending this year, which it probably will, and we only have about 2 DLCs left. For the love of everything holy, they should be animal packs. There are 180 animals in the game right now, and the game would end with 200 animals. The last DLC is probably a bigger one, just like Frontier did for their other games when they ended development. So that could mean an animal pack (8 animals) + a special final pack (12 animals).
