In other news the UK financials are now 1.5 months late. Gotta wonder if there's something juicy lurking in there

(Something that'd be a bad look during restructuring perhaps? A big wage bump for the c-suite maybe. Another round of dividends perhaps? Although if they used the same method as last time there would have been some other paper trails.)
I saw that news also in the main SC sub this morning but can’t find it anymore? Is the main SC reddit sub also deleting any threads related to dev layoffs like Spectrum?

Edit: ah, ninjaed

It is the Great Purge. Soon Robert's will sing the "Lament of the Autocrator" (imagine Der Untergang, the meme scene where the Führer goes Neinneinein and realises (maybe) that he's been played fool by the yesmen and fate has been cruel to his Destiny).

Soon there will be lot's of scapegoats.
No, my Chris. Steiner's rework did not take place. He could not mobilise enough artists for a full BMM and had to shelve the concept.

They are already hyping the big con of the year over half a year in advance?

I'm not by nature a vindictive person, but i hope Zyloh, after his years of lying through his teeth and shilling for SC, gets everything that's coming to him.

"CitizenCon 2954 is one that you will NOT want to miss"

Predictably that's being interpreted as some sort of Squadron 404 release tease in the comments. Good luck with that.

The 'Erin email' dev is back again:

On Papy:

Todd was actually let go in december. I would not be surprised if like others, he had to wait until going a little bit more public about it.

For those wondering, Richard Tyrer is taking over. No, Tony Z is not on the game and will not take over anything.

Going to be the devil's advocate here, but from what I know Todd was one of the good ones. Not without issues, true, but he was placed in a corner where his decisions didn't matter and he didn't really control things as much as he should have. It's very hard to see from the outside, I know his position indicates that he should be to blame, but man was he tired of crap not working. I felt bad for him many times, unlike plenty of others who are just terrible at their jobs and don't see any of the issues. And who were stepping over him constantly. My guess is he used to fight more and at some point just gave up. Which is something that tends to happen on SC. He will find something much better for sure and I hope he shines more.

On Rich Tyrer:

Everytime I encountered him, that is also somewhat the vibe I got. He would take non sense decisions and show that he is obviously a very bad designer. After the first meeting we had with him, the first thing that was said in my team's chat was "who the is that incompetent guy and why does he have that position?". He later on went to direct sq42 and we were happy to see him go.
