COMPLETED CG Appeal for Anti-Titan Weapon Materials (Trade)

Meh, a lot of people are in too deep. It's not about the rewards, it's about doing something new.

I'd participate if I felt like my participation mattered.

So here’s a crazy theory.

“Ram Tah discovered that exposure to certain electromagnetic frequencies caused Guardian relics to open and activate clusters of microscopic nanites. These react aggressively against Thargoid biotechnology by disrupting it on the molecular level.”

It’s not certain where the Thargoids come from and some speculation is that they are not even from our universe. Sounds very Star Treky with the Borg and species 8472.

Maybe after the Titans are attacked and destroyed or disrupted we’ll get an unexpected outcome. We’ll rupture whatever mechanism they have to control the portals they are using to bring ships back and forth from within their realm and the Titan locations will a permanent location that we can use to enter the Thargoid realms.

Maybe that’s where the new functionality and new galaxy to explore will come in which necessitates the new ships they will bring out. Maybe that’s why the Python looks more aerodynamic.

Plot twist: the Titan portals lead to Raxxla, which turns out to be the Thargoids' homeworld.

The multiverse has been a thing in sci-fi since the Theory of Relativity was published. There's a tesseract in the Guardian Relics.
Men Like Gods by H G Wells could be thought of as the first.

Anyone else has problems with mission reward cargo going missing?
Yes... but it's not going missing.

The issue seems to be that upon handing in the mission, it doesn't appear in your cargo, yet you do have it. If you relog, it appears.

The sting is if you don't relog, you can still sell the cargo even if it doesn't appear in your cargo hold. If you do this without relogging, it won't count for the CG

I tried to recreate this for a bugreport, but i did it in a different system to the cg, and it still happened but appeared in my cargo seconds after checking without a relog, where i originally had the issue handing in missions in the cg system.

So... i suspect it's yet another latency related bug, which are always pretty insidious.

What 's a strategy you use in order to find the CG stuff? Do you check extraction/industrial stations owned by minor faction in boom state? Wait a cycle, byu stuff, haul to FC...

Run missions for Neofabric Insulation. The goods are in too small supply anywhere else to warrant waiting for the market tick... YMMV.

Tangent; I wonder if missions run from the stations which supply the other goods could supply them as a reward.

I think this CG was a bit "unfair" in the sense that people who got into it from the very beginning had a HUGE head start compared to everybody else who came some hours later. That's because there were many systems with tens of thousands of Ion Distributors for sale, so if you were quick you could get several thousands of them delivered and sold for the CG, very quickly.

I happened to luck out and notice the CG very early, so I got to deliver over 3 thousand Ion Distributors in the span of under an hour, and got quickly to the top 10 commanders. (Currently I'm "only" at the top 25%, but that's without having delivered anything since.) The supply dried up pretty quickly everywhere, though. In other words, I got an enormous advantage because I happened to get in very early. It's obvious from this thread that the majority of people weren't so lucky.

I find that going to commodities screen after handing in the mission makes the Neofabric show up in my hold.
It is available at Ody settlements if you wanted to run it like a normal (rare) CG, however missions allow you to gather it by whatever means you enjoy and make this possibly the most varied CG I can remember.
Getting in quick wasn't that big an advantage and might have robbed you of one of the most fun CGs we've had.

Yeah so going to commodities market fixed it for me when I tried to replicate it for the bugreport... which I'd love to say is the fix, but doesn't explain how I sold 98t of Neofabrics in a single transaction, and only got credited for 36t of contribution :/

Maybe I'm being dumb, but how does one go about finding missions for these commodities...? Should I be in systems/stations where they are produced? Do I actually need to click every single mission for details?

Better instructions on how to get involved would have been a good move here I feel 😅

there are no missions for the commodites,go to google look up inra neareast cg ,from there click on the commods you are looking for .it will take you to a list of stations that may or may not have them, but deal with them.go to them and if they are there buy them. may involve a bit of traveling,i am in my cutter and go around till i fill up then deliver.takes time though.

No, just do the usual thing

Quite a few places offer them as rewards, if yo get the list of possible missions up from the pad then switch the tab at top right from [all] to [commodities] it shows what each mission offers.
Apparently the CG station offers them though I prefer to use an Anarchy port as a lot of the missions involved carrying cargo that's otherwise illegal.
According to Ian Doncaster earlier Tourist, Colony, Military and Terra forming ports work well.

^^ yes there are.

Neofabric Insulation is (supposed to be) a mission-reward only commodity... that it's in Odyssey settlements is (probably) a bug.
