Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

i learn new ways of saying nothing. I can't shake the feeling that talking up "1.0" is just to keep the hype rolling along. "It's not canceled. We still intent to make a game. Promise!"

Internally we are very focused on SC 1.0 as our primary goal,
and everything we are doing and planning is specific to hitting the vision we have for SC 1.0.
What else would be the primary goal if not the "commercial release" of a minimally sueable SC 1.0?

I don't want to get into specific releases or dates or a particular feature list,
So the feature list won't be "all of them". That would likely pop a few dreams. I hope CIG keeps a good flock of legal eagles in checks.

but much of what we've already talked about publicly are critical parts of that 1.0 vision
A lot has been talked about publicly since the earliest of early days. Good to know that much of it was about SC,

such as server meshing like you mentioned.
Such as seals.

Not that I follow their trite religiously but I've never seen any talk about "1.0" - this seems new in their arsenal of smoke bombs. Just the next bit in keeping hope up and generate some attention.

CIG: We don't want to talk about release dates

Also CIG: Answer the Call 2014.

Someone didn't get the memo about what static server meshing actually is. They think its dynamic server meshing, which will take CIG another 10 years to make happen.

Holding the line since 2014: The number you've dialled is temporarily unavailable.

Ignorance is bliss. And the gullible are very blissful by nature.

It's what stopped me playing. Too much emphasis on selling ships for real money, and all the while the game tanks in just about every aspect.
Looks fab.
But looks ain't nothing when it's unplayable.
And IAE being deserted because of back to back 30ks. Sheesh!

I can spin you a positive version. The story is all finished and he's no longer needed. However, I don't believe the story is all finished. More likely the story has been hacked to pieces, reworked, vandalised, brutalised, chopped in pieces and rearranged differently that noone has a clue what the vision is nor does anyone want to feel responsible anymore for the abused thing that is supposed to be a story.
