I don't have a single game i play using Vulkan. BG3 is the only one i have which explicitly provides me an option of using it and its worse and more buggy than using DX.
Anyone play a game using Vulkan?

Apparently that’s been insta fixed already. Figures.Apparently there is a bug in the latest 3.23.1 patch where if you do anything in the store (buy/upgrade ship etc) - the $$$ store to be precise - the game locks your access and it's not possible to log in to play.
They have free fly event tomorrow. This is going to be great for the people that will get fooled and buy a starter package![]()

I play a lot of X-Plane. When X-Plane 11 implemented Vulkan, it was a definite improvement performance wise. X-Plane 12 only uses Vulkan AFAIK.Anyone play a game using Vulkan?

Will the latest patch note fix stuff like this?
Improved npc locomotion server-sync extrapolation. Prevent teleporting using extrapolated position. Stop root motion during teleportation.
- Locomotion Polish
Probably not![]()
That's a good thing, right? Pink tinted glasses coming off and all that...just watched the ship video thing from today and they have "confirmed" the polaris for this year and nobody cares. too busy crying.

RDR2...and I think Days Gone had the option as well, apart from that, nowt...but most games have long since moved over to DX12 instead of using the outdated DX11. I occasionally have the odd graphical anomaly playing RDR2 with Vulkan, pixelated water effects and the same with trees or grass ...and to be honest, there's absolutely no gain in any way using Vulkan over DX12. The framerates are the same...everything. Vulkan is a step up from DX11 in the case of SC...but I'd suggest that it's not as graphically stable as DX12...strictly from my experience of course...odd water effects and graphical anomalies being the main things I've noticed if I have used it in any game that offers the choiceI don't have a single game i play using Vulkan. BG3 is the only one i have which explicitly provides me an option of using it and its worse and more buggy than using DX.

It is for multi-platform games, so they don't need to rely on the Proton DX/Vulkan translation helper. Implementing Vulkan instead of DX12 is not a bad choice and Chris didn't like a Microsoft-controlled interface, anyway.there's absolutely no gain in any way using Vulkan over DX12
Oh I know what Vulkan is for in that sense, but the idiot Roberts having issues with Microsoft is perhaps the main talking point right there...besides Roberts waffling on about SC being a PC master race game and decrying consoles as the root of all evil as his main sales pitch...or I would alternatively suggest it was Microsoft who had major issues with Roberts with him already having historically misappropriated $30m of Microsoft funding for Freelancer which he then used to fund the Wing Commander movieIt is for multi-platform games, so they don't need to rely on the Proton DX/Vulkan translation helper. Some waffling from 2015 when DX12 was supposed to come first.
