I didn't read the entire thread, but I don't recall anyone thinking to ask "Can we see an example of how it works in-game?"
Now you mention it, that would have been a sensible question to ask to cover about two-thirds of the ones people actually did ask... well, lesson learned for next time.
Worse still, when there are a lot of questions we may not hear the answer to quite interesting questions.
