Europe still needs missing species!!!

Haha, I will skip the politics and agree with stonegarden (as someone from Balkans) in a sense that Eastern European zoos are in fact loaded with European species. I also think that zoos from Central Europe and then further onwards North and East, are more likely to hold Eurasian Brown Bears, than western zoos. But I haven't checked that, I'm speaking from experience of zoos I visited.

However I do also agree that we have crazy amount of native European animals for a zoo game, and that we're (we who find them interesting) are lucky to have that many (just look back at Zoo Tycoons) and that you really can't complain (in good faith) that we were robbed of something.

I don't even want to compare South American and European rosters compared to their respective biodiversities, I understand if one doesn't personally care for SA animals, but that doesn't mean that you can't still objectively recognize that from zoo perspective SA roster needs way more "patching"
The most "iconic" animals of SA are present in the game, I'm not talking about the Amazon or the smaller ones the size of a squirrel. If SA is not complete in this regard, I would like to know which very famous animal from SA is not present in the game? But in Europe, we still don't have representative species with which to build a specific zoo! It's not a matter of politics, but Eastern Europe has preserved specific animals that almost disappeared in Western Europe. That is why the lack of interest of Western Europeans for the fauna specific to the old continent.

Define exotic please, for me the EBB and chamois are as exotic as lions and giraffes.
If you are not European, European animals are exotic. However, Frontier is a European company, although the world trend is universalism. We live and we were each born in places that we are connected to, I hope, so the fauna is also important, only because it reminds us of our childhood.

I'm American, and I don't consider animals you brought up like the Chamois and Roe Deer exotic at all, because the United States has similar animals.

South America has entire regions with zero represenation, India has major roster gaps, Australia and the middle east just barely got the basic zoo species of their regions, and even that only from an international perspective, and you think Europe which had 3 dedicated packs is the priority?
0 representation of species in South America in PZ?!!! You make the map. Do you even look at what species you apply it to in the game?!

And if North America has similar species, do we from the rest of the world have to be content and enjoy what the North Americans have?

There are 0 species from the Pampas and patagonia, a region as big as western europe that has common representatives in real life zoos and non in the game. And even as a whole continent, Europe has almost twice as many habitat species as south america

I feel I've seen this before, a eastern european player is adamant the european brown bear is a great addition to the game while other forum members hate the idea and reference the state of south america. Other members who try to balance the argument are completely ignored.

we have one south american monkey, that speaks for itself as opposed to an 9th bear
And what if we have only one South American monkey? Does this mean that the ENTIRE South American continent is poorly represented in terms of the "iconic" species that give it its identity?

Serious? I think you don't take into account the animals from northern Europe that are completely missing in most of the small zoos in Europe that can be found in almost every small city!?

yes, south america is the most biodiverse continent, it has the fewest habitat animals in game, the monkey is just one example, I am not against more european animals I would like the Capercaillie but saying Europe should be the priority is just silly

Coati, rhea, spider monkey, tamarins and tegus are a beggining, if you count animals that people might sleep on the list woud be massive
But in Europe, we still don't have representative species with which to build a specific zoo!
And so can't i with Brazilian zoos, mainly without the guys mentioned above plus brazilian deers, cab-eating foxes and the brazilian tapir, besides i have to contest this statement, considering that barnyard and eurasia exist.

And so i think that the red legged seriema is more important, as it has a very strong presence in.my childhood.

OK. These are the animals that bring back memories from your childhood. For a European who is not from Western Europe and who has only seen wild animals at the zoo, it is probably different.

It’s totally cool that you want more species from an area you want to build in - I will continue to beg for more Polynesian species myself (which we only have two of, btw) - but discrediting the wants of other regions is uncalled for. The fact that Europe - which isn’t even its own continent by all definitions except political, and is woefully lacking in biodiversity - has more species in game than Oceania and South America - the latter of which is the most biodiverse place on land - is laughable.

Said it before and I’ll say it again. The game is called PLANET Zoo, not European Zoo.

Why? Because the community on this forum has decided that the animals of South America are a priority? I asked once more, how many permanently active players are on this forum? I think that Frontier should have other criteria regarding what active players want. The Chinese would probably win because of which species they want.

Honestly people should stop with arguments like "I can't build my local zoo, frontier hates North-Americans/Oceania/whatever place". It comes off as ridiculous and kinda selfish. I'm from Europe myself but I can see too that South-America, one of the most diverse places in the world when it comes to biodiversity, is underrepresented. It doesn't matter if there's more players in north-america, europe or china, all continents/places should get the attention they deserve.

It's fine if you want some more European animals, but we've had two Europe-centric DLC's as our last two (Barnyard & Eurasia), so it seems fair to let other places shine right now.
