no infos after the 2. beacon ...this makes no fun.... i think i go back just watching tv...
I'm not sure if I'm deciphering Corrupted Message #2 right.
I'm getting "62 Ceti" as my next destination, at least the way I'm decoding it. There's no system with such a name that I can find.
just for the record, I completed the treasure hunt just fine without problems. If your trail runs cold after the third or fifth beacon, do what @vanFace said above.
The text I have seen is a 2 shift. 17 is the encoded message, so you need to shift back 2. 1 minus 2 in a 0-9 alphabet is 9. 7 minus 2 is 5.

sorry i am newbfused can we just goto the "secret" system or do the beacons have to be scanned & deciphered in order for completion?
Also how do u guys know so fast this GalNet feed is some sort of "Halloween" event with "zombies" or whatever? Is this a yearly tradition here? ( i've only just joined EliteD about 6 months ago )
I guess if you have someone spoil it for you you can just go to the end and collect, just like a real world scavenger hunt. I don't think there is any dependency on previous waypoints. But where's the fun in that?
It is a bit of a halloween tradition by now, and that Galnet just screams "scavenger hunt".
I enjoyed it, almost gave up on a couple of stages, but that was me being dim. Nice to have a puzzle again
Why is my brain too stupid to figure out that when told "the number needs to be decrypted" what is meant is shift it backward with the cipher instead of turning it into letters...
