And thats just hoping my keybinds are still there :D

Current Race thread is here:

Thank you for the pointer, I will be checking this out for sure! It looks like it will be possible to build a race track anywhere in the galaxy!

I never thought I'd see the day when the Powerplay Powers would have their flags waving outside the Bubble.

Hold on, does that mean PP and Thargoid gameplay will finally collide?? Yes!!! 🥊🥊🥊

Alternative viewpoint re: PP 2.0

She's right about a number of BGS multi-system groups being negative or outright hostile to the new Powerplay:

I have no doubt powerplay 2.0 is going to cause a bgs storm... my home system is going to be a stronghold for a rival power, however the chaos will be a breath of fresh air...
So long as you are not retreated, things can be fixed again when things calm down and stabilize a little.

I understand BGS stuff can affect PP. Does the PP stuff (like flipping adverts at stations) affect the BGS?

Its going to have an impact for sure if the systems you are working the BGS in are in a PP region and I can imagine its going to generate frustration.

At least FD removed the benefits of certain power stations being controlled by certain governments, that always caused issues for BGS workers when PPers took an interest in their systems.

On the other hand, why worry about controlling systems in PP space when maybe in a year or two (or three) we will be able to leave the bubble and set up our own systems!

BGS used to have a substantial effect on PP in 1.0 but not anymore in PP 2.0

Now that many formerly exclusive BGS activities can now earn merits for PP 2.0 players, there will be a lot more BGS activity but for PP purposes and objectives. It's going to be harder for BGS groups to execute precise moves to raise or lower INF.

Too much background "noise", specially with many more new PP players coming in. The more systems a player BGS group controls and handles, the more potentially vulnerable they are

Its going to be like having CG like disruption depending on system. Some places will have no difference but for some its going to be tricky :D

Yes - most actions are either neutral or positive for the local jurisdiction faction, whether reinforcing or undermining the current Power. So in that respect it should just be a rise in passing traffic if your system becomes a hotspot, and even for Anarchy factions Powerplay passing traffic should be mostly beneficial.

Of course, that traffic has to come "from" somewhere - say that Powerplay 2 is a great success and permanently doubles the number of active players at any time, there's still nowhere near enough players to make every system a "busy" one where passing traffic dominates. So other BGS groups might find things get quieter as a result.

Based on what I’ve read, I think most of those concerns are baseless. Their other concern stems from not wanting Power decorations in their systems, which of course are the NPCs’ systems, and not their property. Given how greedy many of these larger groups are with regards to the shared public sandbox, and how their numbers steamroll over anyone who dares to play in their “turf,” I will shed no tears if the “tyranny” of the majority gives them a taste of their own medicine.

If they don’t like it, they can follow their own advice, and get organized and play the game.
