Do you have to pledge at all?
I can't get in-game right now to check, but do the Stronghold Carriers for Li Yong Rui really carry the same market as Jameson Memorial at 15% off? Can't decide who to pledge too, none of the powers seem appealing... You have Imperialists, bureaucratic militarists, right wing capitalist militarists, criminals, theocratics, liberal militarists, plain old militarists and various shades of the above. Looking for a communist-esque (at least) power that I would feel personally driven to support. Currently all the choices are different types of W******'s
EDIT: While supporting individualism, overall Edmund McMahon does seem to be the closest to fit the bill.
Anyone know of any figures to see what support for each faction looks like?
If one wants to PP, I suppose that's mandatory, but the choice is not necessarily straightforward.Do you have to pledge at all?
Done an initial build of the Mandalay, put in a 4A PP, 5A FSD, 5D thrusters, D rated life and scanners and a 5D distributor. Optional is a 6A fuel scoop, 5 guardian FSD booster 4G SRV bay and a 1A repair limpet a class 3 cargo rack and a couple of AFMUs and a 4D shield. Nothing is engineered other than the FSD to G5 without experimental (did it from pinned blueprint) and it will jump 72.79Ly current and 78.28 max. Going to lightweight mod the life support and scanners and do the PP. not fully sold on what distributor and thrusters to use so will shake it down a bit more before committing.
The handling in supercruise is insanely good.
Ain't it just? And that yaw?!! I can see why they didn't put any bigger guns on this ... it would have been an insane combat ship!!Done an initial build of the Mandalay, put in a 4A PP, 5A FSD, 5D thrusters, D rated life and scanners and a 5D distributor. Seems very paltry amount yep and someone else in the other thread was also asking about it too. -- i'm wondering if bounties were severly reduced now because of PowerPlay 2.0 , since pledge'ing to a superpower will supposedly allow for such higher increased bounty amounts while in their controlled system? One question ... whilst scanning a Nav Beacon on my way to buy a 5A Fuel Scoop I noticed a couple of Wanted NPCs picking on someone. So I took 'em out ... only Master rank so nothing fancy ...
300CR bounty per ship
Er ... is that normal?
May also have been me in the “other” thread … even with a 100% increase that’s just 600CR per ship which seems waaaaay down on pre-Ascendancy bounties?!Seems very paltry amount yep and someone else in the other thread was also asking about it too. -- i'm wondering if bounties were severly reduced now because of PowerPlay 2.0 , since pledge'ing to a superpower will supposedly allow for such higher increased bounty amounts while in their controlled system?
So either a "nerf" or maybe an accidental calculation BUG with new PP2.0 code?
p.s. Mods , shouldn't this old thread be closed now in favor of the newer version--> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/elite-dangerous-ascendancy-now-live.629020/ .....?
Was that with a KWS too? Seems way off, barely covers the ammo cost if you’re using frags! One question ... whilst scanning a Nav Beacon on my way to buy a 5A Fuel Scoop I noticed a couple of Wanted NPCs picking on someone. So I took 'em out ... only Master rank so nothing fancy ...

No KWS … just a couple of Wanted ships at a Nav Beacon who picked a fight with someone so I had to step in.Was that with a KWS too? Seems way off, barely covers the ammo cost if you’re using frags!
If it's not an accidental bug , i'm wondering if it's working-as-intended because of this new blurb from Patch Notes --> " Perk up! - each Power has it's set of perks that players can unlock via the loyalty system these can affect things like bounty payouts or faction rep gain to name a few. "… even with a 100% increase that’s just 600CR per ship which seems waaaaay down on pre-Ascendancy bounties?!
They were power aligned ships … but I’m not pledged to anyone … maybe it was that powers system so they don’t pay out well for their own wanted pilots? Kira in the other/newer thread just posted this which could be relevant---> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...cendancy-now-live.629020/page-5#post-10466366Still sounds off, by maybe a factor of 1000. Before it was pretty rare to bag a bad guy and get a bounty of less than 100k.
Only if you want the bribes.Do you have to pledge at all?
Hilarious. Nothing's changed I see. I wonder if we're in for another situation where they made all this stuff for 20% of the player base, because they didn't make stuff that would work for everyone, whether they wanted to pledge or not.I'm struggling as well.![]()
In my case, the predicament is lore based. I have an account that I want to dedicate to PP, but cant make up my mind. The bonuses themselves are not so important to me, it's more about choosing a gameplay path with a suitable lore setting.Only if you want the bribes.

Bingo ^ yep that's what i'm sorta wrestling with myself, hence why i posted a few questions in another thread. I'm just trying to figure out an easy way to measure the SPECIFIC pros&cons of each superpower in new PP2.0 era , without having to pledge first. -- In the old version it was more about the ship module unlocks ( simple decision ) .In my case, the predicament is lore based.
