how possible?! 140.000.000 cr in less an hour.

bla bla...
So get your rest and come back commander, but stop the fricking whining.

i was afraid that the not everybody got the wipe, and ok now i am sure that everyboydy got the wipe.
wipe for everybody is ok to me.
i just told "i will restart to play after gamma, when final is out."
just a personal decision, not whining, c'mon, and try to be a little bit more kind and less aggressive.

Total wipe, 1000 cr and a sidey, gone down from 600,000, a cobra, eagle and sidey. It's just the nearly 700 kills and competent rating that really hurts :(

Same here ... I had a Cobra Mk III with a worth of 2.5 million (lots of upgrades) and around 0.5 million in cash ...
and started with 1k CR and a sidewinder as everyone.

I´d also assume that it was someone from the Dev team ... after all they have the ability to give themselves whatever they want ...
and it is known that a few Devs took the time to play along with us others, after 3.9 was released

Many millions in credits in an hour? I wouldn't worry about it. If it's a Dev then they can edit their accounts on the servers and this is the way it should be. I want them to spend their time creating a Panther that works perfectly as well as many other concerns. If it's a Player then maybe he/she contributed something significant to the game, if a sub-contractor (maybe Chris Roberts is in the background and doesn't want anyone to know?), or even a friend or relative a Dev likes. That's OK with me. If you want all the perks then move to Cambridge and get hired at FD.

Personally they should have hired me for PR as I'm great at it but retired and don't really want to do it. But it would have been a lot less complaints as in question, "Will FD do this in the game?" Answer, "They don't have a clue at the moment! They are working on X,Y and Z to get to the point when they can answer your question!". Some info would have worked better and sooner as in the late announcement loss of Solo offline. From a PR release there were so many ways that this could have been worked long before it became a major deal on the Forum. I'm surprised that FD didn't hire PR talent to do this. But maybe it is for the best as now they will!

The issue was Kickstarter, Alpha and Beta where players pay serious money to test a game. In years past companies would seek out Beta Testers for free. With Kickstarter the advantage was that the game became a reality versus the distributors who would not touch it as many said that, "Space games are obsolete and don't sell!". Also FD doesn't need an expensive distributor to release the game and cut into their budget thus more financial support for development...or better alcohol at the Nov 22 release! The disadvantage is if you pay for a game even in Beta then you expect to have a great entertaining experience and some want it now! The bottom line is thanks to 100,000 plus players and testers we will get the better game we are looking for.

It sounds like I'm all about FD and praising them. I am not. They made some serious communication mistakes with the supporters of the game. Bad decision per not hiring an excellent PR staff and giving them current status so that they could work with it. I am all about making the final release of this game on Dec 16th amazing.

I can say it wasn't a total wipe. I had all my 975k credits and still have. I've not played the game since the new beta. I'm not going to play it until the wipes have ended. It just seems a waste of time to me. I don't want to get all played out before it's even released.

Does this mean that you didn´t log in and play the game with Beta 3.9 (and only know nindirectly via Player Stats about your current money)?
This may explain it then ... maybe the credits are only reset the first time you enter the game with an account that was last used before a wipe

In this case perhaps you can expect to be reduced to a Sidewinder + 1k CR as soon as you enter the game ;)

well im back in a side winder and 1000 creds quite enjoying it actually but i did loose my cobra and about 8 million creds lol ah well onward and sideways chaps!

Its a BETA- you heard it before - you know you are here to TEST the game while playing, not to get a head start and get tired of the game when they wipe - cant handle the wipe - DON'T beta test/pay for betas - you do no good then cause you just think it´s game on and then you whine. :)

I am so glad the game will be out of beta soon, so that people stop attacking other players that report issues or possible issues. These sort of post are largely unproductive and discourage people from posting issues which is exactly what they are supposed to do during beta. Saying "don't whine , because this is beta" is not helpful. The OP asked a legitimate question that deserves a normal response.

Stop complaining... it's Beta. Get over it and save your energy for complaints after 22nd, I'm sure you're going to need it... I'm already sick and tired of these forums. It's the only thing bringing this game down.

I'm pretty sure I started out flat broke in a sidewinder and a swift kick in the butt out of the airlock in orbit Azeban. Couple hours earlier I was sitting in a 3-4million worth Cobra and a million of spare cash.

Hard life out there.

Same here. No partial wipe of any kind 1000cr and a sidewinder. Am I bothered? But if some are starting with millions, it's worth reporting because there may be an open exploit / cheat.

Yea was most definitely a full wipe.

I was up to expert rank and had a ASP that cost 18 million including upgrades not to mention a cobra worth about 6 mill.

It's fine tho not bothered was fun while i had em and was announced ages ago too :)

And that makes perfect sense when there is weeks between wipes.
But with only two days, how much testing can people do?
Well anyone even be able to earn enough to get the most expensive ships to test them? Probably not.

LOL Everyone whining about losing a couple of mil credits and a pimped ship. LOL. 5 hours before the wipe I did a straight trade of my pimped Asp (even got a few mil creds back) for a Clipper just so I could see what it felt like to fly. Sweet ride if you don't mind the lousy turning rate. Now I'm back to a Sidy and little cash like everyone else. Oh well, I'll just have to save up in Gamma and see if i can get my pimped Asp back :) At the moment I'm just puttering around in my sidy and seeing what's new.

Because it wasn't a total wipe, they wiped everything except credits, and gave everyone the total credit value of the things they owned which got wiped.

If you had it before the 'wipe', and the price didn't go way up, you can rebuy it again immediately.

The wipe on Saturday for Gamma will be a total wipe.

Erm... think you are mistaken old chap... Started in Sidewinder with 1000 space monies, amnesia, a pain in my backside, and a splitting headache... damn those little green men and their investigations...
