Last week we were blown away with some of your wonderful creations and you continue to amaze us – see the video below! We also announced that we were working on an update for December. We want to give you an update on its progress and announce Hotfix 2 coming this week on Thursday Nov 21!



HOTFIX 2:
Guest Flume Use
  • Guests will be less likely to change their mind on their way to use a flume
  • The chance that guests will use flumes to enter a pool has been increased
  • The weighting of flume prestige within guest decision-making has been increased
  • The chance of guests riding the same flume multiple times has been increased
  • Guests will now find full pools less desirable
Guest Queuing Behaviour
  • Guests will now tolerate longer queues (within reason) and will use more of the available queue path
  • Queue times being reported by platforms with multiple slides attached will now display accurately
Note: These changes will only affect new guests as they arrive in your parks and will not affect existing guests.

DECEMBER UPDATE:
Here’s an update on what the team are working on for the December update, items in bold are new additions or now confirmed from the working on list:

Additions and Enhancements
CONFIRMED

UI Enhancements:
  • Edge scrolling for PC.
  • Browser tabs will remain on-screen whilst in tools menus
  • Colour picker adjustments:
  • Exiting the colour picker will apply the setting as well as clicking ‘Confirm’
  • The input field will no longer require the # when adding manual colours
  • Correct the mouse failing to move the cursor whilst outside the gradient square
  • Improve areas where scenery should remember the last custom colour picked
  • The browser no longer closing when placing Blueprints
  • Browser tooltips will show when in placement mode
  • Improved UI responsiveness
  • Adjusted Colourblind friendly heat maps to make them more user friendly
Control adjustments:
  • The “Return to Browser” option will work when inside the Track Editor
  • For PC players, Angle Snap and other sliders that have an Off option will have functionality for easy toggling
  • Embedding the create custom ride/coaster UI into the object browser rather than having its own bespoke UI
  • Added custom rebindable controls for camera tilt and mouse controls
Coasters:
  • Adding the ability to have separate loading and unloading stations where applicable
  • Customisable tracked and transport rides
Paths:
  • Removed Planet Coaster 2 logo from paths
Guests:
  • Adding a new heatmap for Guest Tolerance which will show their tolerance for Fear, Nausea and Ride Height amongst other factors
Scenery:
  • Adding scenery pieces to create custom coaster supports
  • Add a selection of glass pieces for players to use in their parks
Weather:
  • Adding the ability to change weather in Sandbox
  • Water Visuals
  • Water droplets will now be visible on the game camera when the camera goes into pools
Sandbox Mode:
  • Increase the possible maximum guest cap whilst playing in solo play in Sandbox Mode on PC only
Workshop:
  • Increase number of items displayed in the browser per page
Guests, Staff & Maintenance:
  • Janitors now empty bins in their staff zones
  • Rebalanced ride condition decay for coasters and rides
  • Rides will call for Servicing Jobs earlier to allow more time for Mechanics to attend
Miscellaneous:
  • Coaster bug fixes
  • Correcting jittering special pieces
  • General stability and performance fixes

WORKING ON

Flumes:
  • Improvements to flume physics behaviour
  • More realistic guests/dummy behaviours
  • Allowing multiple guests on flumes at the same time
  • 2 additional special piece variants for raft flumes
UI Enhancements:
  • Additional UI enhancements
  • Ability to reset objects back to their default colour
Controls:
  • Streamlined multi-select, Shift/Ctrl will now toggle between options rather than needing to hold the Shift key
Guests, Staff & Maintenance:
  • Reduce the condition penalty for power generators to ensure more power is available
Workshop:
  • Remove the download limit on PC

Can we have displayed on UI at the bottom near $, how much power we have / how much we use. It is impossibile to know without manual counting power usage. Thanks
 
Great stuff Team Frontier.
Really looking forward to these changes. It's great to see all the improvements coming. Even little things like taking the logos off the paths made me to YAY. By the way, the logo's great. Just not on the paths 😬😁

Does this also apply to the flexicolor paths, so that you can get the original color back there (currently a bug, if you change one color, all the flexicolor paths change and the original color is gone)?

And no more logos in the queues, fantasic👍👍👍!!! Please also enable the queue width from 2 meters for the normal and employee paths, should be easy and quick possible😊

And please dont forget the six barriers, they have still no function, all guests go through everything despite barriers underground, that's not nice!

Though I don't see any mention, that the economy of the game will be fixed, like money generation is too high. I hope these issues will be adressed down the road.... =)

Last week, I was very unhappy that the solution to critical problems for my game would only be in December. And now I am very glad to hear that such important problems as problems with queues and water slides will be solved tomorrow. Thank you so much for making the update available earlier!

This. The whole managing a park aspect is completely neglected at the moment.
There is not reason to even care about the prices etc. Your park becomes full as soon as you open it, even if you have no attractions or pools, and you bank is filled.

I want to balance a park. Starting small and slowly expanding as I manage to earn money.

You can do that in sandbox btw :) You can limit your guests and then slowly increase this number in sandbox settings. Keep in mind that your actual guests are calculated from that total.

edit: yes, this is workaround, but i still feel a more challenge way to play the game would be nice. Especially in career mode.
 
Artificially enforcing an organic growth in visitor numbers by manually increasing the peep limit in game settings is not what I would expect from a sim game.
 
Hmm it's lovely you're making things like colour blind heat maps but oh my days the game doesn't even work?! Guests queuing the wrong way and getting stuck in queues. Only way to fix is open and close the ride x1000 as it's happens constantly. Their ratings drop so the park rating drops. Guests bugging out on rides. Still not riding flumes. Can't get the luxury rating up. The staff don't work. Entertainers don't do anything apart from blare out frustrating songs that are infinitely louder than anything else in the game. None of the staff do anything if you set zones. You could go on and on. I'm getting frustrated that theyre fixing things that look pretty for the big YouTubers who play sandbox just to advertise their game. But if you actually want to play and manage a park the game is awful. I was hoping this update would fix it but they're focusing on the people moaning about having to click a few more times on a UI? Guys the game isn't even playable! Focus on that!
