Ganking People in Sol

HAHA really? Then they should have more sense than attack unarmed craft (AX have no human weapons).
I guess you didnt exacly got what I meant. Re-read my previous post, use translator if must.

Far as for AX ships, these are not unarmed, neither they are weak by any means (often having thousands of hull points). If anything, its just they cant really fight back (those with plasma chargers can fight back though), but surely those can evade anything that open can throw at them, all the day with rather ease and cannot be really insta-stomped like "fodder" non-ax bulids that are quite common in open.

But some cmdrs chose to die in such bulids, then come here to complain, how open is "bad" for them. Too bad for them indeed, thats how open works, especially in hotspots such as sol. Even without CG, its rather risky place to be, for anyone who aint is prepared enough - dont like it, then feel free to block, go to solo/priv, or whatever.. I am not gonna complain about that, neither ever did.

In ESO i walk away from anyone that isn't a challenge, what's the point? maybe some folks need to feel all macho.
This is elite dangerous not ESO.... If you re-read my ealier post carefully, you might notice that I already said that gankers do not seek challenge when they gank (as they can find easly the "challenge" among thier own - and they often doing so when they dont gank), but easy kills of the weak. Thats the "point" amigo.

As I said, go ahead and quote something you were referring to. Prove its existence. :)
This. I feel they might have trouble with that - given there is no quote yet about it.

I dont know, where they do get from, those suppposed "The tears i constantly see are from ganlers on here complaining they have no targets or because they get blocked" or so.

Out of numerous complains about how "ganking is bad" that I seen on these forums alone during last few years, cant really recall the opposite - that someone who would claim to be ganker, to actually come here and complain about how open is "empty" or about if others hiding in solo/PG and hows there is no one to gank, atleast within oddy relase timeline, here on these forums.

You want me to necro posts from 3307 because rando on forum doesn't have anything better to do?
As if necro would be any relevant in this.

Hardly posts from such long time ago, can be consider as "constant complains"...

There a whole thread of it, which has periods of inactivity followed by restarts always moaning about people being in Solo/PG or cooking up "incentives" for being in Open. But you know this.

People might cook up incentives or moan about other people hiding in Solo for a variety of reasons.

None of these are gankers complaining about the lack of targets, that was my point. Why would they complain? There has literally never been a shortage of targets in Open.

I don't even know of a single career ganker having been active on this forum for a long, long time. And not only are there no career gankers here, very few pvpers use this forum to begin with.

But feel free to prove me wrong.

FDev should have harsher penalties for ganking. Like constant harassment from OP security bots in CG systems for those that are wanted with huge fines. Perhaps a karma level. I dunno I seem to remember Eve having a brutal system to counter it

Make piracy fun again. Such a laugh. So much better than seal clubbing. They are as disgusting as spawn campers. They are on that level.

Looking or asking about an open bonus is different to saying there's no targets.

I guess we do have some "where is everyone" posts.

In any case, the ganking in Sol will be self correcting - those who don't want to be targets will be using the many tools available to ensure they won't.

I don't think it will appreciably reduce the amount of overall targets, if my experience in CGs is anything to go by. Open is the most popular mode, after all*

*For a given definition of popular from FDEV some years ago

You’re demanding people back up their assertions, yet here you are making assertions while proving no evidence yourself…

Definitely looks like a good faith argument to me.

What assertion?
The lack of career gankers on the forum or what? How am I supposed to back that up? Okay, let's see:

I have found the following career ganker posts on this forum, complaining about the lack of targets:

It's 100% on Frontier for allowing players access to a mechanism that invites blatant abuse.
Well, the root cause is that for sure. But the players still have a choice - play nice or not play nice. And I'm not talking about non-criminal gameplay, I'm talking about simply playing fair. And we all know griefers (I use that word deliberately) don't play fair.

There is also a whole another can of worms of Frontier not really doing much about players that cheat or otherwise abuse the game mechanics.

"Ganking" is happening in this thread right now. Some people taking by-default stronger position like "I've made a ridiculous statement, now prove me wrong!" thus forcing other people to argue using common since and facts against that ridiculousness. That is not fair fight discussion.

I mean, fair as defined by you.

They're not cheating but playing their own way, using the tools of the game to play the game.

I get you don't like this playstyle, but given the state of the game and your experience with it, you can't really be surprised this happened?

There is an actual definition of fair-play in a competitive environment. This is not about cheating. I never said they cheated. I also never said I was surprised.
