Elite Dangerous | Nominate Elite Dangerous for the Steam Awards!

I will do it because I love the game but please fix it and I am not referring to powerplay. Done

How can it be a labour's of love when they up and abandoned 2 thirds of there player base ? Or has everyone forgotten about that ?
Pssst.. Technically they didn't "abandon" anyone. As far as I know, the console servers are still up and running. They had to make the difficult choice to stop development or else we might not have a PC version either today. It's a 10 year old game after all. Cheap gaming PC's to run Elite can be had for 200 bucks on ebay. Half the price of a cheeseball console. Even cheaper used.

Also, I love that despite the picture in the OP saying "Labor", Paul couldn't bring himself to spell it the US way in the link! :ROFLMAO: (Bravo!)

I've voted also. Not to say I approve of every decision or action made by Frontier recently, but this isn't the thread for such gripes, and they're well documented elsewhere. What I will say is that for the first time in a few years I feel like Frontier are truly back in the saddle and are committed to Elite and its future. While we won't always agree on what the correct course is, there has definitely been an upwards trajectory of effort from Frontier, and it's really good to see. This has been one of the best years in Elite since I started in 2017, and for that, they get my thanks, appreciation, and nomination.

I did too. I don't know why. I will send Dirk Gentry to investigate. Perhaps this game should be in the emotional roller coaster or love hate category?

Of course I've voted.

Although I do find some of the comments like 'You'll only get my vote in when X feature is implemented', or 'they put profit before the game' a bit churlish.

Look at your player stats and then work out how much you've paid for the content, and you'll probably find you've had a lot more value out of this game than you thought.

Of course they put profit as the priority. It's the game business, there are plenty of live service games that have gone under because the game didn't make the company any money (Concord being the latest example). Yes, some of those bugs are frustrating i.e. the VR orbit lines one makes me genuinely throw up, but I understand that if the game is to exist, there's only a certain amount of resource available until it becomes unprofitable, and that means certain things are going to get left behind.

I'd love an Angel investor (as long as it's not Musk or Bazos) to come in and say right, I'll invest X millions into Fdev if Elite:Dangerous gets On-foot VR, Ship Interiors and new Atmospheric planets, but it's not going to happen (unless I win the Euro-millions).
