10 Years of Elite Dangerous

Hi folks,
We are looking into this issue. If you are not 100% sure (or just wish to make sure) if you are subscribed to Elite Dangerous newsletters please can you fill in the 'Keep in Touch' bit on the website. Even if you are sure you have done this before it won't hurt to do it again.
Thank you.

Thanks for the update, I really hope it's nothing too catastrophic your end. I appreciate you've previously said there won't be any re-issuing of the emails, but given the acknowledgment of the problem, does this mean there may be a second round if an error/solution is found your end?

sounds like subscribing with your new email address like Paul suggested might fix it? You got marketing email on old, but no stats as it didn't link to an existing account. If you get on mailing list with new email, and if FDev are able to re-process it, you should get another email that'll link to your account? Got to be worth a try at least!
Aye, I've just done that. Hopefully they're able to re-process it for us. Like I said though, this definitely falls under edge case!

So I have a slightly unique issue. I originally registered my Frontier account with one email. But I changed my email on my Frontier account (but due to aliases on Outlook, I still had access to my old email in the same). However I forgot to change my email for the newsletter (surprised you couldn't track that). So it sounds like I won't be getting my stats. Is there nothing in the servers to track email address history for accounts, and to thus have realised "Oh wait, that was linked to a Frontier account that had the email changed, they probably still want the stats"? I know I'm sitting on an edge case scenario here, so I've probably lost my chance at getting my stats (if there was any), but that still sucks...

For reference, I did get the 10 year anniversary email, but there was no link to any stats. I assume because the marketing server assumed I had no Frontier account when I do, because of this frustrating edge case (I can already hear Paul sweating over this edge case)
Hmm - didn't think of that at all - but I could be in a similar boat: I created a gmail account related to my Cmdr name AFTER I began playing: so while I also still have access to my original account email (another gmail acct that I use for gaming sites in general) it is no longer tied to any of my ED Cmdrs....To perhaps muddle things some more: that email IS still being used for my Steam account login...

My 2nd / main Bubble account - who has had the same email since inception - DID receive the 10 Year Stats retrospective....My third account (back in pre-FC days - I was planning on spacing them more or less evenly around the galaxy for Hull Seal rescues ;) ) HAS changed not only the account email - but also the account name....Did NOT receive the email....(that one is less special than my primary / namesake account so I am not offput)

From my perspective - I would think that the simplest method would rely strictly on the current, active account email - and not something that may / may not have been filled out on a page of the storefront?

Yeah, true. I changed my Outlook for different reasons to you most likely. But like I was warned, not only am I gonna keep finding random stuff in my deadname for years to come, it seems I'm gonna find stuff in my dead email as well... I've only got the one account though so I'd imagine it'd be a little easier to track

Have been subscribed since Beta, never unsubed. Checked subscriptions in all the Frontier places - everything as it should be. Last time I got any newsletter from Frontier / Elite was years ago. In all that time, I changed e-mail for my account twice. Checked all three e-mails - no news letters for years.

I do get all notification letters from Frontier Store - no problems. As well, as all notification letters from Support. All of them go to the correct e-mail.

Filled Keep in Touch form again. Hope to see nice letters again.

Why do I need to allow marketing etc cookies to submit a form? :( I want to make sure I get the newsletter, but I do not appreciate my online activity tracked and uniquely identified.

Not to be that guy... but while you blurred out your name and email, you seem to also have it written out in your sig... and the email address can be easily guessed accordingly... just sayin', given how you seem to value online privacy.

I do agree on the cookies though, I always decline them, even though that means no youtube/image thumbnails and apparently even using forms like the above. Nothing is truly free anymore it seems.

Thank you. Now THAT is customer service.
I'll criticise you (Frontier) when I think it's warranted, but I'll also praise you when I believe you deserve it.

Hmmm - the plot thickens: going back through my original (account creation) account email - my last Frontier newsletter was #234 - July 2018....Guessing that's approx. when I established a new gmail for the account (loosely based on my Cmdr name)...

Interestingly - my original email is STILL associated with "Frontier Forums" (this site) - and I continue to receive those updates....But when I look at my Frontier Forums account - it is greyed (grayed?) out and WILL NOT allow me to update my forums email?!?

And I did confirm my account email shows my newer preferred email - named in relation to my Cmdr name... However the "Newsletter Subscriptions" tab of my account only refers to:

"To manage your newsletter subscriptions, please click on the 'Unsubscribe' or 'Update preferences' links in emails you receive from us."

Which I no longer receive (have not for 6+ years) - so I don't think I can edit those.....Which is when I went rooting through my original email archives....

I got the email yesterday. Came with the stats and everything. I only started playing in 2022, so I'm guessing that it's not just for long-term players. There are a lot of ED accounts and I would guess that the emails are being sent out in batches to avoid being whacked for grand spamming. Hopefully everyone will get the emails they're anticipating.

Never expect my concerns to be consistent :D (or to make sense!!! It drives my mrs crazy!)

TBH In online communities I want to have my real name out there less and then a certain Mr Fozza Forrester just said Hey it's BEN without even thinking that I'd prefer to have been refered to as Eid... but by that time the damage had been done and there's no point being overly precious and it can't be undone, and I'd still prefer to keep a separation between online me vs offline me and and oh.. I've gone crosseyed!!!

Is it too late to receive an email? I never got one.

I'm REALLY hoping they find a way to get this out in the new year for us folks that signed up late. Especially those of us who had an email mismatch due to an email address change in their Frontier account.

Hey,
I have updated this page also and wish to submit it (ticked all 3 of my boxes which comes up for me)
But, when I hover over RENEW OR CHANGE YOUR COOKIE CONSENT the lower left message, which is I think the link it is going to run when clicked comes up with:
javascript: Cookiebot.renew()
and clicking it does nothing so I cannot submit changes.

Anyone know the option to click to allow javascript to run to do this (using Microsoft Edge :( )?
