Not only midnight black paintjobs, but...

There's a sale in the store, about 35-40% off of nearly all stuff for ships, carriers commanders and weapons in there and also including the "older" pre built ships (Python Mk II and Type 8 in both versions)

I had a moment of weakness a few days ago and bought the type 8 stellar and the big rig pack. My current disposition is..."slightly miffed".

I don't get these black paint jobs. The only reason to have a paint job at all is for cool screenshots; and then surely you want your ship to be visible.

If they follow tradition, they'll let you keep the gloss and issue you with a matte. Maybe they'll hide the gloss and then on some FU they'll joke about bringing it back because lot of people asked for it. Probably after they update game engine to totally change how the skins look and the gloss ends up looking better somehow.
