Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Beta Details & Feedback

For some reason I keep getting told that "System Claim Unsuccessful" been trying for quite long now, even went to another port.

There's nothing there and the icon is green (if it weren't I couldn't even start setting it up). I go through the process, accept the 25M charge and after a little wait, I get this error "System Claim Unsuccessful".

There is a Fleet Carrier hovering above the only planet in that system, could their placement block other users from building there?

I have already seen someone else share this, but I would like to give the feedback that having CMM composites, especially in the tens of thousands, is far too much for any sort of build. Considering how rare this commodities are to begin with, needing 10k-50k in order to build a starport is... Just not fun. Please either remove them entirely from the list of resources needed, or make them about 100 maximum!

Is colonization possible in Colonia region? Checked two systems - one with large starport, one with outpost - no contact

Hi, here are my early feedback :
15 Ly range is perfect for the beginning in my opinion.
Resource requirement seem pretty balanced : very expansive for large starports but smaller teams and solo players can still build their own outposts. But i agree with others : the CMM Composites requirement is a huge issue that, at the current point, is a complete softlock. There is literally not enough CMM Composites available in the whole Bubble to build a single outpost. The issue is not the requirement itself, but the available stocks, but i'm confident it will be adressed.
For user interfaces etc, it's really nice : clean, easy to understand, intuitive, nothing more to say.

The CMM Composite requirement for building a Coriolis station or even an Outpost seems a little steep. An Outpost requires 3,912 units of CMM Composite which requires a bunch of system-hopping as the biggest single supply is 364 according to Inara. Should be sharply reduced as this will otherwise be a significant resource bottleneck.

For comparison, a Coriolis station requires 11,261 units of CMM Composite.
They are not “slightly” overstated, they are grossly overstated. According to Inara's data, only 25 stations with composites have 100 or more available. I.e. 2500 composites for 25 stations with the required 13k for Coriolis and ~53k for Orbis is a complete nonsense.

So now we have a problem with antagonistic player groups dropping colonies inside BGS controlled space that had previously been safe due to the hard work of CMDRs. Thanks a lot, several years of hard BGS work are now right down the toilet.
R.I.P. BGS ...but I guess it may result in the same "problem" with Powerplay :cautious: should "colonies" become eligible for being acquired.
