I Lost the System I Built

I was there together with ououou when he claimed this system, we started the construction process and transferred about 50% of the progress before the maintenance on 27th. The system turned to invalid status and shows as a red cross, and then back to unclaimed status in the next few hours. Seems like it was “released” by a glitch or manual amended on the server side. So is there possible that this is intended?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the devs simply never encountered a race condition like "what happens if one player puts in a claim, then another player puts in a claim before the server has had time to respond to and process the first one" in-house before the update went live and the servers started getting hammered.
It is not just a claim concurrent issue, the beacon has deployed and the construction process had been 50% before all this happened.

But at least on the night of FEB 26, I successfully claimed it and, together with my friends we build the station. I was able to continue building until midday on the 27th, then it was suddenly canceled, it’s really so strange
Just submit a support ticket. If you were the first, support might be able to verify and maybe fix it.
If you just want emotional support though, then we can talk about it some more here ;)

I've already submitted a ticket, and customer support replied that they noticed and asked me to submit additional evidence. I’ve uploaded all the screenshots and log files I had, but they haven’t taken any further action yet

Exactly! And indeed, when CMM production was extremely low, we were gathering CMM materials from all over the bubble, which made our progress seem slow, we moved many times and completed all materials except for CMM, titanium, and steel. We have ample log evidence to prove this, and have submitted it to customer service

I am curious how your and other Cmdrs situations work out, what the actual cause was/is. I know I was surprised last night when cruising around, well within the bubble, how many construction ships and claims I saw on the map. Must have been thousands when I panned the camera around. Incredible. Amazing. So glad there is a very active player base in Elite.
Good luck and O7 Cmdr!

The first person who claims it should always maintain the ownership even if the server bugs out. It is claimed, it is owned unless he didn't finish construction in time. This should not happen. FD please fix it! CMDR OUOUOU should have it.

Among the friends I know, many have lost their systems, and many have had the ownership unexpectedly transferred. Although the game coming back to life is a good thing, having your ownership transferred without permission is truly very disappointing

Hodur my home system is anarchy. Permanently. Cos there's only one planet and no moons, planetary bases, and only one large orbital. It's perfect for a pvp enclave.
Never been flipped. AFAIK & l go back to 2017 with this system.

Don't pvpers have report crimes turned off? Duelling should work anywhere.
Enough show up without it (some deliberately so) to ruin the fun.
It probably wouldn't be so bad if you could see whether someone had their system link on or off.

Puppy (and San Tu before that) was mainly about organized wingfights, not organic PvP. Deliberately flying crimes on is not a typical problem. Getting sent to Brazil (because of some irrelevant leftover bounty on your head) once you've been shot down is. And people will see the rebuy screen all the time in organized PvP (at least half of the participants will be shot down in every single round of organized wingfights, by definition).

Does it have a nice dense icy ring? Because that's where wingfights happen.

The elephant in the room here is that in the reddit thread mirror of this, OP says he claimed the system at 19:00 UTC.

The update had been live for hours at that point, the servers went up a little before 16:00. FDev had even tweeted at 18:07 about upping the supply of CMM composites in response to players having claimed systems and finding them out of stock everywhere. The Frontier Unlocked livestream started at 18:00.

Frankly, for a system literally within range of the most popular home system in the game, I find it implausible that it wasn't already legitimately snapped up by someone else after three hours had passed, so I'm going to put this down to some sort of server lag shenanigans. Unfortunate, but not unique.

That's me bro. I just hope to get more attention to urge FD to solve this matter, so I posted it again on reddit

I’m sorry, I must’ve missed something because all those screenshots seem to prove to me is that somebody claimed it and then Ice Squad is in control.
