My T9 hauls 384 cargo with no shield. I have no idea how to make it carry more at this point based on what I can and cannot do in the game. I am building the required stations it gave me to claim the first system. It required over 175 runs (something like that) when I stared. I am still needing 31 round trips and I played for many hours more than I ever would each day.

I'll make the month just barely and it is ridiculous that I am not allowed 1 extension. Just ridiculous they expect to lock parts of the game away from people that play casually. Just push more and more people away...
Dock at a station that has Outfitting. In the Outfitting menu, in the "Optional Internal" section remove what you don't need from there (fuel scoop, afm, etc) and add more cargo modules.
 
My two pence after I've been building for a while.

Firstly, great addition, really enjoyed building something permanent

Pros:
  1. Leaving a mark in Elite, love the idea
  2. Materials for construction are about right I feel. I am a space Dad, limited time, but I've managed to build an initial outpost, two planetary bases and a couple of those orbital thingies.
  3. Well fleshed out for a beta
  4. Good choices in what to build, you can literally do it your own way
Cons:
  1. There is SO much information that is obscured. If I build an {insert structure} here, what can I expect to see? What does a +10 to living standards actually mean?
    1. Shipyards in a Coriolis for example- we think you get one when tech level is high enough but....it's just educated guesswork
    2. List of materials on a structure that you're currently constructing- needs to appear in the 1 key menu under Transactions
    3. Why aren't missions appearing in my space station? What do i need to do to rectify/ boost this?
    4. How do I boost the amount of 'stuff' I have on sale in the Commodities screen?
  2. So many QoL improvements are needed, but this is a beta and I am confident you are listening and will start to implement these after, rightly, the bugs are squashed.
All in all, enjoying it!
I can answer number 3 of the cons: they will appear on the next server reset.

also remember when you buy a ship it does not always come with the largest module which can fit in that bay

so a size 8 bay may only have a size 7 rack in it, so make sure all bays have the biggest sized racks they can fit in.

I love my T9!. its great for hauling CGs as well. 10 runs in it pretty much nails on top 50% maybe even top 25% and therefore usually any module rewards which often come with CGs.
 
The Coriolis I finished earlier in the week is still not spinning, and is still covered in scaffolding.
Aren't they meant to activate with the server tick on Thursdays?
 
@Paul_Crowther Prospector limpets - high failure rate, losses of 30 - 50% on launching

When using my T9 laser miner the failure rate has increased badly since this update, slowing down even further is not helping and sometimes even having losses when firing from a static position.
 
I have the same problem. The structures were built on Saturday and Tuesday. After today's maintenance they are still hanging as under construction and nothing has changed in the system. The server tick on Thursdays did not work.

my Coriolis i have now delivered over 50% of the stuff in the last week. is there no construction site? I was hoping for maybe a dozen different phases of completion next to the colonisation ship (a bit like the death star) and it would slowly progress as i delivered the goods, however there is no sign of anything being built. i even tried flying around the planet looking for something.
 
Yes, better bug report it. Or you can wait till next Thursday 🤷‍♂️

It's not just the Coriolis, it's several things I built in the system.

1 thing i was dissapointed about - unless i am blind.

my Coriolis i have now delivered over 50% of the stuff in the last week. is there no construction site? I was hoping for maybe a dozen different phases of completion next to the colonisation ship (a bit like the death star) and it would slowly progress as i delivered the goods, however there is no sign of anything being built. i even tried flying around the planet looking for something.

Can you imagine all the extra 3d models they'd have to create for that?

not sure..... my memory could be failing me but back in the day when we had fairly long term CGs to build stations i think they had multiple phases of construction where you could see them built............ so that work may have already been done.

unless my memory is just filling in the blanks and that didnt happen!.

I meant for the 3 types of Coriolis, the 3-4 huge stations, the 10 or 12 ground ports, the half-dozen small platforms, the 40+ Odyssey settlements, all the Hubs and the dozen or so installations.

Showing them slowly being built just wouldn't be practical.

but I don't remember if we ever saw the assets in-game. And the trailer only shows the Ocellus.

model creation workload i can accept, but download size ? pft! it will be a sad day indeed if the limitation of content to the game was due to trying to minimise download size. Elite is tiny compared to most games (hell divers 2 is 180gb for instance and iirc flight sim 2020 and ARK are both over 200gb.

i would happily triple elites install size if it meant more eye candy.
