System Colonization Assistance Megathread

You are flying a Type-9 without rebuy? Be careful (i.e. high wake if interdicted by something that mass locks you)

Once you get the class 8 cargo racks you should be able to get a rebuy buffer built up fairly quickly
I had just over 3 million remaining (probably just under 4) after buying the T9, so I did have a buffer for rebuy until I traded out the 7E thrusters for 7D to make it turn slightly less like a brick (I don't even think it made much of a difference) which has increased the rebuy cost to more then what I currently have, but between cargo runs to the colonisation ship and the odd data courier runs, I should be able to get beyond the rebuy amount for the ship soon.

Looking for some help. Working on a T3 Planetary port.

System: Col 285 Sector HE-N B21-4
Planet: A 5
Planetary Port: New Zootopia
Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Current state of Sherwood station. If any late-night truckers feel like stopping by, it will make my day if somehow that gets finished before maintenance. :p (no timers involved here, just a chance to help me beat the maintenance clock LOL)

@TopShopGamer @Cmdr Sylveste Its done! 'Rob Station' is up and running. Well, yesterday of course, but its finished and yes it does have an industrial economy like you said. I was told not to build anything just yet, wait till thursday for the economy to sync or something. Also advised not to build any planetary structures yet as they don't get influence from anything. But the plan is to go military-industrial. Or scientific perhaps.

I did have a small incident i'd like to share. Yesterday when i arrived at the colonisation ship with my last haul to complete the station i somehow got distracted looking at the galaxy map and forgot to dock. When i exited the galaxy map a good few minutes later my ship was stuck against the side of the colonisation ship. I repeat, my ship was stuck. Like, really stuck, wouldn't budge. I had to self-destruct. Now thats embarassing. I had to get my last haul all over again. I'm afraid i don't have a screenshot though(or perhaps for the better).

Anyway, time to take another stroll across the bubble and see where else one can colonize. This time just building an outpost ;)

Thanks again for the help.

If you're ever stuck docking or undocking just drop to the main menu and load back in.

I am looking for help building my asteroid base in HIP 57799. It's a lovely and very whacky system (see below).
I am willing to pay up to 3.45 billion credits.

Here's the plan:

Total material requirement: 53,723 tons
FC Name: [TREX]Tiger's Claw (HGB-L7X)
Construction site location: HIP 57799 ABCD 4 b

Payment:

Delivery to construction site (unloading phases or otherwise): 40 K profit per ton (2.15 bn total)
Delivery to FC (loading phases): 35 k profit per ton (1.3 bn total)

Schedule:

Phase 1 (ongoing): Unloading current FC stock, located right next to construction site:
  • Aluminium: 7,190
  • Steel: 4,730
  • Titanium: 4,212

FC access during this phase is limited to friends. Please contact me here if you want to participate. In-game nick is “Rip_Steakface”. Please keep track of total number of tons delivered. Payment will be done via tritium sell order (preferably after phase 5).

Phase 2: Loading FC (upon completion of phase 1)

Phase 3: Unloading FC (upon completion of phase 2)

Phase 4: Loading FC (upon completion of phase 3)

Phase 5: Unloading FC (upon completion of phase 4)

At any time, CMDRs may deliver goods directly to the construction site without involving my FC. You may use Trailblazer Song in the ORGEN system or own FCs if you choose to do so. CMDRs will receive 40 K profit per ton for such deliveries (see above).
Interesting sights are a bonus. We are building an asteroid base in icy ring of a gas giant which is itself a moon to another gas giant with rings over 100 ls in diameter. Another moon is located inbetween these rings.
HIP 57799 ABCD 3 c a is another interesting body – reaching the orbiting Krikalev installation can be quite a glitchy challenge depending on its position.

I'd love some help at HIP 85000. It's a fun name and I have less than a week left. When it's not unloading at the system, my fleet carrier (Daniel Jackson X8Q-6HK) will be parked near a materials source and buying materials at 10x market average.

With help from those here (partly from making sure I didn't lost my shirt after purchasing what I've now named the falling brick), the construction progress is nearly a quarter of the way to being done with mostly the larger material requirements being what is remaining to fill (along with the 2335 ceramic composites, but I'm going to be dealing with that first when I get back online by taking a few long range trips to avoid having to take the brick planet-side) it's starting to look like this can be done within the remaining 21 days.

Here here! If you're going to haul cargo consistently, it's worth the grind.

Hey Macros, if you drop the 7A distributer on yours to 6D, you can fit a 4A armored power plant; it'll shed about 70t while still maintaining perma-boost. I redid mine after the last CG and just finished tinkering the other day. It's overengineered to the point that the distributer needs flow control though, so to each their own.

The Long Haul
Interesting, Coriolis says dropping down to 6D will change my boost from 5 to 6 secs. Not that great a concern, but when flying shieldless, better safe than sorry.

I tried with Lightweight hull (Heavy duty, deep plating), but the Orbital Construction Site's and the not so advanced Docking Computer conspired against me, resulting in a 76% hull incident, which is too close for my liking :)

It is rare that a NPC tries to interdict me, if they do, the Imperial Cutter is too fast for them. The Supercruise Overcharge could be a factor in this equation.
Same thing really with the Type-8 and the Corsair.

Btw, your Long Haul link doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for the catch, I've updated the link. I've been using an engine focused 6D lately and I haven't drained it, the 5D had just enough power to get about 3 boosts and then jump. I hear you on the hull and autodock, I've missed it often enough myself. You feel about 76% hull how I feel about 26% though, so we're going to come up with something different for sure.

Edit: I see where you saw a 5s boost now so I removed that part.

On a different note, happy hauling everyone! My computer is kaput so I won't be joining in for a bit.

Greetings Commanders,

LP 469-60

I have 3 days left to complete 20% roughly but I am away from this evening (8 hours) so will not be able to complete it on my own.

I thank those that have graciously assisted thus far, but to complete this valiant effort, more help is required.

Come from afar, come from aclose, just come... asoon.

Thank you commands, fly safe.

It's time to step away. Which is a massive let down. I invested 3 weeks, 3 weeks of my play time, with an expectation of having some choice in my claimed system's design. Given the language of the beta, and the "feature complete" language here as well as other places I had an expectation of design that has simply not been met and the time and the repetitive play required for the reward doesn't match. I will not pay money to name something I grinded 3 weeks for. I will not continue to grind in a game that clearly does not value the time already spent. I've invested in this game for years, I've sung your praises and got other friends to try it. I've enjoyed and understood that choice (maybe its a choice?) to let us players "discover" mechanics like all the work Mechan and so many others put into the thargoid war. This is not that.

I'm not grinding for three weeks to literally get NOTHING of what I expected, only to be told "its operating as intended, now you get to grind more, transport more to get what you want." Even if I decided I could stomach that, there's no guarantee the rules won't change, and everything i did will be destroyed and subverted. Naw. Pass. Hard pass. With a "friends do not touch this." What an utter waste of so much work and progress you've built over last year. I was on such a high as the thargoid war ended. I was pumped for trailblazers. I've been loving your new ships and enjoyed spending money in the game. Now. No way. You broke my trust with this "beta". I'll keep an eye on your news and hope for better, but as is. No.

Setting aside any discussion of the merits of what you're saying, this really isn't the right thread for your comment.

The final installation is named Brill Penal Colony, and building it rubbed me the wrong way...

After two sessions along with help from KOlley, Blaggerdy and those unnamed who dropped materials off as well, the construction progress is now at 50% with just under 20 days remaining and after hauling about 13k of Titanium I'm estimating that I should have the remaining materials delivered with 8-9 days remaining on the timer (as long as I can keep that pace up, but at least I have some wiggle room if I can't haul the same amount of materials per session).

I think that if I ever do this again, I'm going to stick to a coriolis for the primary port.

Hello, if anybody wants to help, my system hyades sector uu-n b7-4 is almost done, last thing is the T3 station 5 Ls from the star.

Nearby system is 15 LY VALKUPS, where you can get alu/steel/titanium etc. about 22 Ls from the star. So quick job :)

My T3 station is at 25 % though, so... I am burned from hauling :-|
