System Colonization Assistance Megathread

Not that I know of. I would say selecting an outpost is the most important matter so you've made a good start

Try and find a system with a reasonable number of locations. If you're not using a SCO optimised ship locations > 70k ls from the main star will be slower work (and would benefit from a fleet carrier)

Most items can be retrieved from 1-2 jump distances
If you want to use Inara the Commander > Start Systems > (select your construction) has a very useful tracker as below
Clicking a resource shows nearest availability
Try to pick off the smaller items, then top up your cargo with larger items like steel
Try to source a full set of cargo from one market, and deliver to your outpost. Part loads, or 3 markets to 1 delivery will greatly slow things down
n.b. if you want to start or update this you need to deliver at least 1 item then upload your commander

Is there a good thread to read about, best process to a solo player with no fleet carrier to build their first Output - best process for not going 100 jumps to get the materials from 1000 different stations or settlements?
Not really, there is a lot of general advise around.

Inara - commodity search is your best friend, learn to use the search based on your building system location and it will show the nearest places to buy from, remember that some items are only available from surface stations ie: CMM's and for some items required in small quantities it can be worth checking medium pad stations and using a smaller haulier.

If anyone feels like helping out with suplying building materials (mostly the metals) to my colony ship in system COL 285 SECTOR SW-G b25-9, you will be my personal heroes ❤️

There's not a lot or primary ports pending this week, which is good with the CG.
