6th Anniversary Animal

my biggest want is something from oceania since base game has a single habitat animal in the croc something simple and standalone like the perentie would be good but also the black swan might be nice.

However a more realistic answer would be the american black bear since we actually have alot of north american theming in the base game with only 5 habitat animals and they compliment the grizzly bear well.
Black swan or a second wallaby or the perentie all would be good for anniversary.

I just want a bird (or a coati or patagonian mara but that ain't happening). Grey crowned crane or guineafowl or a pheasant.

I feel like a kangaroo or wallaby for an anniversary wouldn't be smart. The reason is that the kangaroo is the high point of the Australia pack; most people would buy it for the kangaroo. All the other animals we've gotten so far either have no other options (peccary), are already in the base game (lemur), or have a related member but still offer something different (red deer vs fallow deer, African leopard vs Amur leopard)

So, for Oceania, really only the perentie or black swan would be worth it

I don’t agree honestly, especially regarding the wallaby - I don’t think they’re a core seller for the Grasslands Animal Pack to the casual audience, and zoo nerds would buy the pack for the “right” wallaby regardless. But even a grey kangaroo doesn’t seem out of the question at this point, it’s been so long since the Australia Pack launched that I don’t think Frontier would blacklist themselves from adding another roo, and the koala is still a massive draw for that pack anyway (hence why it’s the key art animal). It’s pretty similar to the leopard really, which is another super popular animal for the general public that was previously locked behind DLC.

I dunno, I guess you have a point.
But what drew Australia was the kangaroo, personally.

It would be a nice upgrade to get the grey roo over the red, but I think that the swan or perentie woild be better received overall, especially the swan

This far into development it matters less too, the Australia pack is from ages ago now. It's the same for the butterfly, you could argue that the walkthrough animals being locked by DLC's was also a reason to get more sales. But we could now be very well near the end (this time really really  )

I want it to be a coati or tree kangaroo but neither of those are very likely. I would be ok with the American black bear or Asiatic lion which are probably the most likely options.
I'd also be ok with an ungulate like a guar, yak, muntjac, or banteng that didn't come in the Asia pack. And a duck, goose, or swan would be cool.

Here're my guesses. Ones that I hardly know what theme of DLC pack left those could be in.
  • American black bear
  • Any Australian monitor lizard species
  • Short-beaked echidna
  • Masai giraffe

Would be amazing to get a monkey that's fairly easy and fast to make, as we still lack many iconic species, even despite recent dlcs (in which btw, monkeys presence is a huge selling point for me) I got two species in my head in particular- squirrel monkey and howler monkey

With the American Flamingo and blackbuck out of the equation, I think it's going to be the American black bear, but I could see the squirrel monkey too. I'm convinced an African crocodile will come in a DLC soon.
Loving your optimism that we are getting more DLCs.

If there is another anniversary animal i hope is another new world monkey like the squirrel monkey but i would not be mad about the asiatic lion either. My guess is that it will be either the ABB or the nile crocodile.

Realistic potentials candidates for 6th anniversary animal:

1. None (it was the butterfly)
2. American black bear
3. Nile crocodile
4. Serval
5. Perentie
6. Gentoo penguin
7. Grey crowned crane
8. Massai giraffe
9. Grevy's zebra
10. Asiatic lion
11. Black swan! (Forgot bout this one)

If Gentoo penguin will to be there, then I'll hope for rockhopper penguin.
