What is magical about 1400 is that its roughly double the capacity of an Imperial Cutter. Instead, Panther II is an Imperial Cutter plus a Type 8.What's with that magical number 1400? Where is it coming from?
It's not even double 794. Why is precisely 1400 A-ok but 1238 is a "disappointment"? "Oh noes, the ship is 162 tons short of the ideal! Ruined!"
For some definition of "roughly". Double the max cargo capacity of the Cutter would be 1588 tons. What is magical about 1400 is that its roughly double the capacity of an Imperial Cutter. Instead, Panther II is an Imperial Cutter plus a Type 8.
If I was to switch out my size 6 shield generator for a size 6 cargo rack I'd only make about 2 million more on the average trade run, I am not worried about making an extra 2 million, the security of the shield is worth that to me.
Over an hour I'd make about 7 million more, I am quite sure the size 5 Guardian booster and size 6 shield are worth carrying.
same setup i have ! 6A pp/pd 8A thrusters 7A pre-eng sco i think it does 31LY loaded (no weapons except a pdc)I've got 1152 cargo with a 6A prismatic and 4H FSD booster fitted. It's a decent trade-off for me, and I'm happy not pushing it to max cargo. It's a much better ship to fly than I expected - loving it so far.

I'm only at 1056 Cargo with my combat CG runner, 6A shield, 4H FSD, 6A Scoop and a Fighter Bay.I've got 1152 cargo with a 6A prismatic and 4H FSD booster fitted. I am thinking of getting another Stellar to equip for laser mining. It says I own it with no option to buy another. But I do get the option to buy the standard. I think I'll wait and just build a mining Panther when it is released to all in the game. I may look at the black skin. Google says the standard comes with the extrra capacity size 7 and 8 racks, I need to make sure before I buy it though.I've got 1152 cargo with a 6A prismatic and 4H FSD booster fitted. If you've bought the early access (Stellar or Standard) you can buy additional ships in-game for credits now, no need to wait for general release.I am thinking of getting another Stellar to equip for laser mining. Ever flown the Annie? The Panther Clipper has a very good cockpit. However, I am disappointed that two loosely lying cables run within the windscreen at the command data seat. In the 33th century, one can expect that designers from ships do not deliver such a botch.
Hey, they were in a rush to manufacture as many ships as possible. Why do you think there is an ongoing CG about it?The Panther Clipper has a very good cockpit.
