It would be nice to have a canonical justification for their newfound existence. Maybe derived tech from the mk2 cargo racks or something?

? Asking for a friend .It wouldn't have to be. Canonically cargo racks are nowhere near 100% space efficient. One could easily imagine some use of stronger or denser materials to increase their overall capacity, by reducing the size of the mechanism holding onto the cargo containers.

Hi, not sure this is the right place but where do I find CMM Compisites, Ive gone to Starless Night space station as shown in the supply list and there only buying it, not selling, when I go to Inara and search it shows about 20 fleet carriers selling it.. What am i missing?
At planetary outposts or the trailblazer carriers. Avoid this commodity anyway and go for Titanium, it's much easier to access.
We have engineering but there were never blueprints for racks, perhaps there is a Pilots Federation ban on letting us access these, or simply none of those incredible beings (Engineers) had interest of tinkering with cargo racks before? And since we are only getting it from the CG it's just an exception the PF are allowing due to Brewer Corporation demand.
System-wise we had only "E" rated racks, and the Mk2 racks are "D". Still a few letters to go
All of these commodities are around the same cheapish price and not really worth mining, which is a shame because the CG could've encouraged a stategic choice of gameplay with one small change.

These "stuck" NPCs which are ignored by station makes station entry littlebit difficult for PC2
