Why I didn’t boycott the Panther Clipper

I got Cyberpunk for the same price, finally could try it. So my boycott gona end 3-4 months later ? :/ I'm 50 there and still just touched main quest.

A boycott never crossed my mind. I've previously expressed disappointment that the PCMk2 doesn't have as much potential cargo space as I was hoping for, as well as concern over the placement of some of the hardpoints and what this means for the design process.

But despite not being as capacious as I had hoped, it's still a good ship. Aesthetically it stands apart from the Imperial Cutter and the Type-9 Heavy, the overall design is distinctly Zorgon Peterson and the articulated engines look brilliant. The boost sound is suitably volcanic and demonstrates the consistently excellent sound design of Elite Dangerous. Despite being a massive ship it's a pleasure to fly, unlike the T-9 and to a lesser extent, the Cutter.

The hardpoint issue was addressed to my complete satisfaction before general Arx release. My admiration and gratitude for the modellers, animators and other development staff for getting that one over the finish line before time.

Still boycotting... for now.

Yeah I will wait out I don't really need it. I will wait til Fdev bring out the magical racks for all the other ships . A months wait and I can get a 6 and 5 with more cargo storage .

But:
Whatcha gon' do with all that junk
All that junk inside your trunk?
Have everyone staring at your glorious backend? Or whatever it is that people do as a loaded Panther flies by. Besides move out of the way unless they're one of the belligerent, suicidal Sidewinders that thinks they have priority over and will not get smushed into a crumpled tin can hull ornament by a 2,000 ton ship.

I thought 13 euros are too much for a ship, overpriced like most suit and gun cosmetics are. Then again I spent 120 euros for stuff for the dog today so.. might as well treat my alt to it (cause she's doing most of the hauling and building :) ).

I wonder how the panther clipper is as a turret boat. T10 seems to have better firepower, but unless you test them you never know.

graeme.firth, great avatar. Is that Wedge in a snow speeder about to bring some pain to an imperial walker? That got'em!

I boycotted some responsibility and knocked off early launch day. Henry Mancini would not stop playing the pink panther theme in my head, and my eye kept twitching.

*yells at crew- find that beer can rolling around in here... and turn that music off it's driving me crazy!

It's (figuratively) the ship in the opening scene of Spaceballs. "We Brake for Nobody"

S'funny, I was thinking the PC2 needs a decal that says "I brake for Black Holes" or something similar.

On topic, I was ready to give the PC2 a miss once I knew that it wasn't going to be the cargo behemoth I was hoping for but then, once I looked at the slots properly, I knew it could make a superb mining ship, so that's what sucked me in.

Now, I just need for FDev to pull their finger out and release the "Turbulence Yellow" paintjob for the PC2 cos all my mining ships have that paint.
