Wow, the more I think about it, pretty sad. I can see a couple of times, but don't take a rocket scientist to figure out, its a bug and should be reported. Now to accumulate that much wealth and then brag about it on youtube. Oh looky me I'm driving an orca in Sol. So lame...

He says he did report it, and posted the vid as proof & warning. Maybe not 100% well thought out, but the exploit seems major enough to make him sure there will now be a wipe. AFAIK there would have been one almost certainly anyway.

I found what seemed to be an exploit too. Tried it once to see if it was possible (which it was) then ticketed it and moved on. Still in my Sidey with 20k Cr working the normal way in case there isn't a wipe.

I reported it right away then accumulated 50 million hoping that I would get stopped at some point. Just so people understand I only played til 18:00 yesterday and I have not played since as things like this ruin the game for me.

Well I'm glad you reported it. Just kind of strange lol Its like telling the cops, hey the back door is open in the bank. And then keep doing it till you get caught

Or you hope that something is in place to recognise making credits as quick as I was and to flag it up and stop it. I think things might of been different if launch day was on a Monday when all the staff are in and not a weekend. I also did not expect to be the first person to find it (and probably was not) but one of the first responses to the thread was screenshot required so I uploaded an unedited video that I had which was shadow play and did not have the exploit in. This was of my last ten minutes of play which happens to be me heading to Earth.

I have not been asked to remove the video by frontier which I will do if asked.

You will still have a headstart.
You will have had a few weeks to;
Learn how to fly the ship.
Tweak you control set up
Understand how to avoid interdictions
Practiced power Management in combat
Understand the trade system and the galaxy map.

So if there is a wipe and come the 16/12/2014; all of us already in can start playing, rather than be still figuring out where you want to bind "jettison all cargo" to and the like.

If anyone could tell me by pm how to do it i would appreciate a lot.i just wanted to try some of the new ships before the incoming wipe. I know i'll be ganked for this post :/

I just hope this will be fixed by launch... I have been in far too many alpha/betas where bugs like this were not fixed even though they were reported over and over and went live anyways...Neverwinter Online was the last one I tried that did this.

yep, I'd love to hear too. Already decided not to waste time before release and would love to beta test some ships before launch.... frankly amazed there hasn't been an infinite cash phase of beta to properly test equipment and ship loadouts.

that's the whole reason, after 3 wipes im already burn out by the grind, i would love to know at least wich will be my beloved ship at launch since we are not getting a headstart no more :/

.... and will make a wipe that bit more likely.

As has been put forward above, if few players have taken advantage of it, I would be pretty sure that Frontier could analyse the players' stats and see exactly how much had been gained as a result of exploits. If it became widespread then it would be less time consuming just to wipe everyone.

Ok. Fine. Personally, I don't care about a wipe after gamma since all I ever do is trade. Some more some less makes no difference.
So if anyone would be kind enough to share this particular exploit, I'd appreciate it greatly if you PM me. Thanks.

Seriously..... I sat through the GTA hacks when it was first released on last gen consoles and watched people on twitch / youtube literally begging for info / for people to give them billions. The online game was ruined and yet here we are with people not so much begging (yet) but asking the same sort of thing. I hope FD get a handle on this quick and enforce rules when released, otherwise the game will be ruined and I for one will be uninstalling. I would play offline but meh! that's gone.. I don't mind that so much, but this sort of thing makes me sad!

I tried to sell my eagle at the start, but got -40,000 cr.

So if solo on-line is going to be effected by players actions in MP, then more a reason SP offline should be there, perhaps. Why! players could end up playing someone else's game, no..

I don't mind that there is no SP offline, but it will give thought to the game process, are we really playing and making our own way, or driven by others who exploit the game..
