Thank you kickstarter backers!

I had my doubts and didn't backed Elite: Dangerous at the kickstarter phase. You did and made that game possible. Thanks to you right now I can't get enough of that game even with all the bugs that it still have (I'm sure it get better). It's just so much fun! Thank you!

I didn't back either, as I'd backed a lot of other Kickstarters by that point - games, documentaries etc, and decided to give it a miss once it cleared it's target. I'm glad a lot of people had the faith though and made this a reality for us all!
I kept a close eye on the game throughout its development, and then started reading articles on Rockpapershotgun.com and hearing amazing things about the Oculus Rift with E : D. Then watched youtube videos and knew I would get it sooner or later. Heard lots about the Saitek X52 Pro HOTAS and bought one on sale before I even got the game (NO REGRETS) and finally couldn't wait any longer when the mercenary pack became available. Upgraded it to beta access for the extra 15 pounds and I've since played it to pieces. Love this game :)

You are welcome :D

Yeah, TBH I had my doubts even back at the kickstarter.
I backed all 3 of the similar games at the time, but only put $20 on ED to 'hedge my bets' that if one came off i would be happy. Now it looks like all 3 will have something to offer!

When they introduced the digital only tier to cater for internationals like me i couldn't resist and jumped on it. Then they got me with the £15 beta.

I was kinda disappointed in the no-offline thing, but I do have good enough internet to not worry too much.

Given the choice I still do not regret backing and I am glad to see this game developed.

I will allow myself a little pride on the 16th to think 'I helped make this happen'.

It's thanks to Frontier that we had the chance to back on the Kickstarter in the first place.... ;)

Can't wait for the 16th!! :D

I've seen enough cashgrabs in my time and I'm still rather skeptical to tell the truth considering the fact how many lame games I backed earlier. Although lately I've seen few games that delivered much more than I'd expected of them. Elite: Dangerous is one of those. To my shame I didn't even watched a lot of videos regarding E/D, thought it will be viable to look at the game in a year or two and not sooner. But then I saw Scott's videos about the game and thought... Hey! It looks really great! A bit empty at the moment but gameplay wise seems fun. So I went and bought beta. Didn't regret any of it although had to pay a bit more because of the sanctions and bla-bla-bla :( I live in Russia and currency exchange rate not that good at the moment.

I agree. Biggest regret of my life (since retirement) that I didn't dive straight in at the beginning. Joined in Beta 1 and I've been ticketing religiously so I hope I've done my part. Despite all the various problems I have been over the moon (literally??) ever since I started playing. My wife is not so happy, though!

I could kick myself after missing out on the Kickstarter..... I even knew about it, but then forgot about it and by the time I remembered, it had finished.

I'm happy that I was able to support by buying into Prem-Beta!

I thank you for your thanks, but to be honest now I am sorry that I backed it as it has turned out to be a game that I don't want.

I only wish I'd found the extra £30 to get the explorer edition ... kicking myself now, but hey I'm in a cobra pootling around Lave and loving it :D

you're welcome and thank you for thanking us. it was a no brainer to back the possibility that there might be a new Elite, but being honest, if i knew then what i know now, i probably wouldn't have backed it to quite the level i did! still enjoying playing mind!

I can honestly say, as a non gamer, that this version of Elite is for me a simply brilliant game. As a piece of escapism it ticks all of my boxes. (And a few I didn't know existed!)

You're welcome ;)
I was very worried a while that the game wasn't gonna be what I was expecting, but really I find I'm enjoying the game more and more as I get to know it. Infact I'm loving it right now. And with the planned planetary landings/npcs/walking around it will just be completely awesome.
So just like to say thank you to Frontier Devs :)

Now get back to work! *cracks whip*
