This is not yet related to Elite, but I wasn't sure where to post this:

If you raise money via Kickstarter and don’t deliver products you promised backers, the government will come after you.

Sorry, I am not sure what your point is...

This is a case where no product was delivered as promised. That is nothing like Elite: Dangerous. A product has been delivered, and it is blood brilliant. Kickstarter does not guarantee that you will like the product you are delivered, just that you will get it. They clearly state that it may not be quite what you hoped, but that the requirement is for the developer to do they best they can to fulfill their side of the bargain. See https://www.kickstarter.com/trust for reference.

It is not pointless, because it shows, that kickstarter is not just an investment, where it doesnt matter what comes out. This guy wasn't delivering the cards, and not issuing refunds. Frontier is not delivering DRM free editions, and not issuing refunds.

It is supposed to be a physical DRM free edition, not a physically DRM free physical edition, but nice try lol

You will no doubt have noted the "(please note: the disc in the pack is simply an alternative way to install the game - it will have the same online account code whether installed off disc or downloaded digitally)" text in the tier reward text. Your interpretation of the initial part of the text is just that - an interpretation, taken out of context of the rest of the tier reward text.

Which you "can" use to connect to multiplayer, that is not my interpretation, that is clarified in the FAQ section.

That would be this clarification:

Will the game be DRM-free?

Yes, the game code will not include DRM (Digital Rights Management), but there will be server authentication when you connect for multiplayer and/or updates and to synchronise with the server.

In the absence of an offline game, there is a need to connect to the server.

You seem to be under the impression that there is some way to play the game offline. I do not believe that that is possible.

Exactly, that's why they only deliver your physically drm free editions, but not the DRM free physical edition they falsely advertised.

and you didn't say anything about DRM free either, try to be accurate.

Right above your first post, but I get it, reading is hard.
