The more I trade the more the station I trade at is getting hostile.. is that normal?

Is it normal that stations I trade at my reputation gets lower and lower?

I already have a huuuuge problem in Federation Stations because I'm 'hostile' to them.
I made some mistakes when I started the game 4 weeks ago. Parked in wrong place, rammed the station and stuff...

I'm trying to get my Federation ranking up a little bit because everything is shooting at me now.
I try to avoid all Federation stations....
But now when I look at my info screen it shows that my reputation even gets lower by trading goods ! (Superconductors)...


Maybe it's better to delete the save?
I'm hoping that it's all some sort of bug.

I dont think its fully working properly yet.

Which is probably why self wiping on the 16th on when it is working might be a good idea.

No that's the opposite of what should happen.

The more I trade with a station, the more faction I gain. At least, that's how it's worked up until yesterday, since I cannot really stay connected at all today.

But yeah, trading is the way to gain faction. I have many green stations from doing nothing but trading there, no missions at all.

I am making a profit.
Goods are not stolen.

I just haul Superconductors from station A to station B inside the same system. Then I take Indium from B back to A.
It's around 800 credit per ton profit from A to B and 600 credit per ton profit from B to A.


Any idea how to raise Federation rating?
I tried doing some missions but I can't dock anywhere anymore since like 75% of the bases are Federation :|

Ahhh... I noted that if you trade commodity within the SAME system you are not providing the system with income and they get more annoyed with you.. you need to get commodity from a different system, not the same system so you are actually providing a export/import

That is very strange... Check if you owe fines or have a bounty.

You might have left a minor fine unpaid that has become a bounty.

You might have done missions for empire that made them unhappy
-
You are not using a kill warrant scanner on wanted federal pilots, basically not flashing your badge; thus killing federal "civilians" without warrant
-
You are doing missions for some sort of underground movement rather than the government?

Perhaps try some donation missions...
This is truly strange, I have not played the recent update and it may just be broken.

Well, mining works, personally at this stage I would reset my ship to beginning and start new. You add more time recovering from the lost rep you will be at it till after start day.

As far as I see no warrants or bounties...
I don't go near other ships and when I get interdicted I just run away...
Maybe it's as Foxpur said: trading in system is bad.

I'll try to get some Federation reputation back.
Dunno how yet...

Not so sure about that foxy, I got green from trading between two stations in the same system. Although one was Empire and the other independent.

That's possible I suppose, it may be from trading withing the same faction in the same system... I'll do some checking.

Have you done a complete reset of your game since you paid this off? If not, give that a try, all the way... loader too.

The Imps really doesn't like smuggling. I took a huge dent in my Imp rep for being caught with some salvage. My suggestion, if you are in Empire space, obey the law to the point! Or come join the Alliance.

If that is true, then its frankly ridiculous (and I am sure its a glitch and not by design).

Its still acceptable if it does NOT INCREASE the reputation, but there is no reason to DECREASE. Also, aren't different stations within a system supposed to be controlled by different factions?

Seems to go by the larger faction, not the local faction.
Do a crop dust mission and you lose rep too... same rep. I have been doing some testing as so far holds true on commodity but not on cargo missions. Also missions that take you out of the current system to collect. I just got local up and Fed down on crop dusting

You can still dock at a station if it's red, even if the police attack you, you can request docking and go on in without the station attacking you.
