950Cr / T on auto fabricators

500Cr/ T the other way

fairly regular missions around 15-25k

Get your self to the right place and profit is still there

Still nothing about the commodity system then? I take it we will still have industrial stations being suppliers of food and such silly situations.

Superb efforts from the Frontier team... Looks like many of the mission bugs are sorted, so will test these thoroughly again.

Exciting times...

awesome even with the mission disappearing and only come back on restart I was stll playing elite till 3:30am in the morning. glad you got it fix tho :)

This has always been the case. When you first install the launcher it asks you where you want to install to. Wherever you select will be where the game is installed. Mine is in G:\Games\EDLaunch.

Nope. Up to at least PB2 the launcher folder is selectable but the game then installed into appdata, to make the game install into the same folder as the launcher you had to create a folder manually.

I haven't reinstalled since PB2 so if its changed its happened since then.

I think it has changed over time and depends when you did your first install.
A fresh install may now give you the option to change or otherwise default to the 'Products' folder in the launcher location. In earlier versions it defaulted to a folder in appdata\local but you could force it to install into the launcher directory by manually creating the products folder in that location before installing the game.

For Federal permits it's done on rank. For independents (or a few special cases) you need to build your reputation with the controlling minor faction. You will find them in neighbouring systems.

Since there are no Alliance military ranks, is it sufficient to become Allied to the um, Alliance, to get access to the capital system Alioth, or do I need to find a mission to provide a permit please?

Thanks for the update FD, looking good for release.

Can you explain what reputation gating for missions is?

I'm assuming when factions don't trust you for a certain missions. Quite often a faction wouldn't trust you to perform charity work, or small trades. IMO this should only really be for expensive trades, sensitive courier work or collection of military plans, rebel transmissions etc. Why should a faction not trust me to take a mission to kill a few enemies? If i don't kill them i don't get paid, whereas with a trade mission i've essentially stolen their cargo, or with certain courier missions or collect missions i could expose some secret information.

There's some tweaks in tomorrow's build - hopwever it's perfectly reasonable for industrial systems to produce food as long as they're food cartridges. SOme will also have secondary agri economies.
