Not as impressive as some of the set-ups but here's mine...

I agree with Enride, that is very sexy Tihor. Here is a pic of my setup after posting my finished desk mount project found here https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=70014

Thanks guys - Nice HOTAS mounts Lordmonkus!

I plan on doing some mod's myself over christmas - you cant quite see but my x52 is mounted via some joyloc brackets; the problem i have is that they are fixed in place. So my custom mod is going to borrow from this mod by Zorbulev. The plan is to create a couple of articulated HOTAS mounts using the Vesa bracket idea - this shouls allow me to move the x52 aaround the desk and even store it under the desk when not being used.

i'll then move the small screen from above to below the surround setup with the plan being to get a cheap superwide monitor in the Christmas sales to go at the top :)

Yeah my original plan was to make something along the lines of those joyloc brackets but decided I wanted something underneath instead of up over the desk in the way of the keyboard and mouse pad. I also tried to think of way to do it similar to what you are describing but I really couldn't come up with anything.

I've got an idea or two - going to attach these to the underside of the desk so that I can attach these to them. From there it should mount the x52 :)

I'll probably cut some MDF to fit the throttle and the G13 to one arm with joystick on the other. Fingers crossed it works - would love to do something more self made but don't have as much talent as you!

Yeah that looks like it would work well. As far as talent needed to do what I did it really doesn't take much talent at all, it's more the tools to do it. My build is so simple all you would really need is a saw and drill. You could probably just get the measurements and get a local lumber store to cut it all for you and assemble it yourself with some screws. My entire build was done using scrap pieces of oak glues up but if you really wanted as little work as possible get all the pieces pre cut out of something like plywood and just screw it together. Only tool needed is a drill.

In the end it really comes down to how simple or elaborate of a system you want to do using your pre existing setup or doing an entire build from scratch.

Presenting "Project Ivar"... I wanted to build a more "traditonal" flightsim-chair not only for the use in ED but for my warthog... nevertheless ED was the trigger. And it all had to start with an IKEA chair. That was somehow the first objective I've set up for myself to start building...

Wow, awesome mod dude :)

I really enjoy seeing people's gaming and simming setups.

My setup is designed for DCS A10C as you can see, but I use it for ED. The only difference is I use a DK2 instead of my screens. Not just because the DK2 is all 3D and VR and stuff, but because the center monitor is 1920x1080 and the side ones are 1680x1050. DCS plays nice with them, but since ED would require Nvidia Surround, I'm out of luck.

Damn dude, I love that chair what is it ? and the mini arcade cabinet in the back there. I wanna build a mini cab someday using my Raspberry Pi.

The chair is a mix, i took the base of an Ikea Couch (30€):

And a sport office chair bought in Ebay (+-80€) (it is available in many colors):

Then i attached to the ikea base a piece of DM wood and screw the upper piece of the office chair to it using the in-built holes at the bottom.
What i also had to do is put the arms of the chair in a reverse position (what it gives a cool and futuristic look :p) for giving more strenght to the composition, then add some pieces of wood attached to the sides and voila.

The mini cabinet is a personal project i made some time ago, it´s made for an ipad and you can find here the whole process (sorry in perfect spanish):
