It's finally hereeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since it will be released around 4:00 am to 5:00 am my local time, the only real question is whether I should stay up all night, or whether I should just set my alarm to get up early....

Local time, that would be sometime after 4:00 am. The only real question is whether I should try to sleep before hand, and set my alarm for 4:30 am, or just power through and stay up all night.

Thank you FD for all the hard work, I'm sure everyone here appreciates the depth and scope of ED; even the nay-sayers.

Don't Worry Be Happy!

Our servers are provided by the mighty EC2 of Amazon.
I'm not too worried about the huge amount of traffic coming their way from us. It is scalable immediately by the user (Frontier)
It only takes several minutes to bring more VMs (virtual machines) on-line.
The EC2 (Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud) also provides the user with control over the geographical location of instances(what they call their virtual machines) that allow for latency optimization and a high level of redundancy.
Amazon's webstore and databases use the same systems.

Good Luck Commanders!

I think us Beta-testers should find where the newbies are spawning tomorrow and fly backwards into stations to confuse them:D

Thank you FD, thank you David and thank you to every single backer out there that helped make this possible. This game is a (almost) life-long dream come true.

that at would be fun. I'm wondering how many people we're going to see getting blown up in stations for trespassing. I still forget to ask sometimes after playing for a few months.

thanks for the update, really looking forward to seeing what we are going to get and how the experience will differ from the gamma phase.

I may have only pre-ordered fairly recently, but I've been following this game's development for a long time, and I'm pretty excited to finally get a chance to play it.

Until then, the countdown continues.
