Alright so I got tired of entering everything from paper so got the Seebeks eliteOCR tool, it works great btw, and phew now that is much quicker lol. I did run into a few probs the first time I tried to upload a csv to this tool as nothing would happen.
Was a couple things I did wrong like I didn't enter a system name in the eliteOCR tool..DOH, so I had to enter it manually in the csv.
This is what I needed to get it to work:
System;Station;Commodity;Sell;Buy;Demand;;Supply;;Date;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Clothing;217;233;;;116389;Med;2014-12-17T08:42;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Consumer Technology;6654;;1766;Low;;;2014-12-17T08:42;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Domestic Appliances;410;429;;;6900;Med;2014-12-17T08:42;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Algae;147;;91601;Low;;;2014-12-17T08:42;
I had to go in and add the MCC 467.
In the slopey tool I had already manually entered two other stations in the MCC 467 (note the MCC is in capitols) system and originally put in Mcc in the csv so it wouldn't work and this tool wouldn't let me enter MCC as Mcc.
From what I gather we are going to have to be very careful when adding to both these tools ( the system name) to make sure the capitalization is the same if using both tools especially if adding to a system that was entered by someone else originally.
I mean we have some system like:
MCC XXX
Cosi
LTT
Ross
StKM 1-626
Zeta Aquilae
etc etc.
Maybe we could decide on a method so we are all doing the same thing especially since some are using this tool but not OCR and such. From what I see in slopeys tool peeps seem to be pretty much going along these lines:
If the system has a "proper name" like Ross or Cosi then they seems to use capitalization like it was people or place so capitol Z and A in Zeta Aquilae BUT when systems have "nonsense names" like LTT or MCC peeps seem to be going with
all capitols like if it was abbreviations.
I have noticed in the OCR tool even if the screeshots pick up a name like FUCA RING all in capitol the tool then outputs it as Fuca Ring in the csv but not so for the system name which seems output it however we enter it. Possibly this is because the SS we take for the OCR tool only see the station name and not the system name.
Maybe a little note in the OP about this or something might be helpful for those like myself that are new to this kind of thing.
