Well, nothing has changed between v3 and v4 which would cause that issue, and the CLR2xxx is a Framework issue, so I'm not sure why it's happening.

It's not happening to everybody, which rules out something with the BPC itself directly, so it's likely a framework/component issue on the affected machines. I'll take a look, but I can't repeat it on any (6+) of my machines here with various OS's/Framework versions.

Clear your database from Options then force an update again.

Could you please specify the exact format for the csv file? I mean which columns to use and in which order.

I'm using another data scraper and would like to make sure I send the correct numnbers before I try to upload.

Here's example content - note the first line.

Code:

Hello Slopey, and thanks for the BPC, it is the best! I'm not using the OCR because I'm finding that now I can run ED in borderless window mode I can have the BPC on one monitor and ED market data on the other so adding data manually is quick and simple.

Once again thanks for all your work :)

Alright so I got tired of entering everything from paper so got the Seebeks eliteOCR tool, it works great btw, and phew now that is much quicker lol. I did run into a few probs the first time I tried to upload a csv to this tool as nothing would happen.

Was a couple things I did wrong like I didn't enter a system name in the eliteOCR tool..DOH, so I had to enter it manually in the csv.

This is what I needed to get it to work:
System;Station;Commodity;Sell;Buy;Demand;;Supply;;Date;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Clothing;217;233;;;116389;Med;2014-12-17T08:42;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Consumer Technology;6654;;1766;Low;;;2014-12-17T08:42;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Domestic Appliances;410;429;;;6900;Med;2014-12-17T08:42;
MCC 467;Fuca Ring;Algae;147;;91601;Low;;;2014-12-17T08:42;

I had to go in and add the MCC 467.

In the slopey tool I had already manually entered two other stations in the MCC 467 (note the MCC is in capitols) system and originally put in Mcc in the csv so it wouldn't work and this tool wouldn't let me enter MCC as Mcc.

From what I gather we are going to have to be very careful when adding to both these tools ( the system name) to make sure the capitalization is the same if using both tools especially if adding to a system that was entered by someone else originally.

I mean we have some system like:

MCC XXX
Cosi
LTT
Ross
StKM 1-626
Zeta Aquilae
etc etc.

Maybe we could decide on a method so we are all doing the same thing especially since some are using this tool but not OCR and such. From what I see in slopeys tool peeps seem to be pretty much going along these lines:

If the system has a "proper name" like Ross or Cosi then they seems to use capitalization like it was people or place so capitol Z and A in Zeta Aquilae BUT when systems have "nonsense names" like LTT or MCC peeps seem to be going with all capitols like if it was abbreviations.

I have noticed in the OCR tool even if the screeshots pick up a name like FUCA RING all in capitol the tool then outputs it as Fuca Ring in the csv but not so for the system name which seems output it however we enter it. Possibly this is because the SS we take for the OCR tool only see the station name and not the system name.

Maybe a little note in the OP about this or something might be helpful for those like myself that are new to this kind of thing.

Hey Slopey,
First of all thanks for all your efforts

Finally I can import the csv from Seeebek into BPC

Not sure what was the cause of the importing problems so far
Did reinstall Framework
and disabled Horizontal export since I saw your previous post of the csv input should look like

Hallo CMDRs. I just want to say thank you for making such a great tool.
It helps alot and safes time. No more paper lists with market data^^
The CSV Import works fine with EliteOCR Version 0.3.5.1 and Screens in HD Size(1920*1080).
Keep it up and big profits to all of you^^

Hi Slopey, sorry if this has already been pointed out, but BPC refuses to accept "Domestic Appliances" in full as imported from EliteOCR, preferring "Dom. Appliances". It's only a small inconvenience but a fix would be appreciated ;)

Great tool! just wish it had an offline mode or something similar, the trade data from systems a gizzilions miles away are extremely irrelvant to me, and mostly just annoys the sh*t out of me when i misclick some gigantic search that makes the program freeze up for minutes. :)

Id like to suggest something for the Commodity Data tab, If possible it would be awesome to be able to limit the amount of jumps you want to travel for a commodity.. :) And give the "Show distance from current system" a pop up box saying "this will halt your program for minuts if clicked while a large result is loaded" :)

But! most excellent tool you have put together sir, thank you very much. :)

Just go into ur EliteOCR folder and there into bin. There should be a file named "commodities.json" and there u can edit the "Domestic Appliances" to "Dom. Appliances". I did that and it works.

NO - DON'T.

Dom. Appliances is no longer valid in the BPC. It's back to Domestic Appliances like it was previously.

Uninstall the BPC. Delete the BPC folder. Re-install the BPC. That should fix it.

Still no luck. I've tried it on another PC and it works so it's definitely not a network issue. I also tried installing it on my other hard-drive but no luck there either.

No one else seems to be having this problem so maybe it's a problem with my Windows install. Wouldn't be the first time, hehe. Thanks for trying tho. :D

Ok did not know that it was changed, so i changed it back to the old name as it was before!
When was the change back? Yesterday when i looked it was still Dom. Applience? So now using the old name!

hi slopey and thanks you for your great work!!
I have a question. I love the search criteria with "from any ; to any" wich give me the possibily to find in the entire galaxy. But sometime i don"t want to travel 1000 ly to reach a profitable trade route. So is it possible to add an option who can give me the possibility to searh no more than a range that i specify. for example, i enter a system we can say "110 herculis" and a range for example 150 ly. so this way the program searh all the trade route possible, but in the range of 150ly from the system i give. this things can drastically reduce the time search which is very long with the option "from any ; to any".
i don't know i am clear, cause english is not my native language. so sorry for that.

The option is already there - it's just to the right of the "from" "to" drop-downs; it's a little box you click called "Within distance" and next to it you enter the distance you want to search within.

Do you have a silly date format? i.e. non US-EN/UK?

Slightly OT, but I got a question to the trader community: Had anybody recently came upon a commodity with high demand in a system?
