NVIDIA 344.75 causing crashes?

I have had 3 crashes (not crash to desktop - reset button required) since updating to 1.0.1 and nvidia driver 344.75.

Cannot say which it is..

Anyone else?

So they have a beta release 347.09 but it's full of bugs sadly. It crashed my entire system, had to boot off the onboard video card and reinstall nvidia completely. That driver is specific to Elite Dangerous but I recommend against it right now. I do have 344.75 and no crashes though. What card are you running?

I'm having no ED 1.01 issues with 344.75 on either of my nVidia machines (GTX 780, and 970's), I rarely install Beta releases unless for a specific purpose, so can't comment on that option.

I kinda doubt it's the drivers. I've had 344.75 since they released, and haven't had any crashes in Elite with them.

Try the 347.09 Beta.

Do you use the GeForce Experience suite? It's probably the easiest way to keep your drivers up to date. I wouldn't listen to their recommended settings though.

Please ticket it. That happened to me a lot during Beta 2 and Beta 3, with my 670 card. Not sure whether this was gone during gamma, since I am currently on a 4G connection and downloading the client will cost me as much money as the Beta 1 access...

I've got a dual Intel and NVIDIA card setup, always used the official drivers, no overclocking or DX params hacking.

Something similar happened until the early November NVIDIA drivers with Alien Isolation, that uses the same "fake" anti-aliasing as Elite. But those crashes on Isolation disappeared by deactivated VSync. I kept getting the hard crashes with Elite regardless of the in-game AA or V Sync settings.

Card is a GALAXY 970 Gtx

It's new as of Monday.

3 crashes this afternoon. None before that.

Hmm..

I'll ticket it if it happens again.

Same problem for me, every 1\10 hyperdrive i crash, needing a reset or to stop the ED process when i'm lucky.
It says specifically that the driver 344.75 has stopped to run.

Its the DSR which is to replace needing SMAA but you still have that ON and its way too much info to cope with. Even MLAA4 can crash but others are fine. Although no AA at all gets same results anyway. You will still get stutters entering high speed at stations.

I have had a constant issue for several elite releases of my machine crashing and requiring a power cycle to recover. It's also persisted over several driver releases.

Recently it's been mostly resolved - but I have no idea why :)

Could be something in Elite
Could be something in the driver
Could be something else on my machine
Could be slightly faulty hardware

I've no idea.

I'm running an MSI GTX 970 latest drivers and "optimized" through the GeForce experience - it's been fine for me. Although one minor point is the text on the main menu screen is now "fuzzier" than before the driver update.

I have found that is the case when DSR is enabled.
