Where is the big story which was promised

I think it's already there, it's just appearing slowly. Have you accepted a mission yet that involves getting slaves? If you do, then when you find a random USS you'll find a ship offering an alternative destination for the slaves. The same if you choose to 'liberate' some slaves. I think this is the start of the storyline. It is bugged though, as the alternative destination for one of the missions says something like /insertstationnamehere/ instead of the actual station name.

I feel this is the start of a deeper plot - think American Civil War, North v South etc.

*Oh yeah, just noticed what the poster before me had put....go to Sorbago*

ah you mean the conflict zone where only deathmatch is taken place. where no cap ship is dying. an endless moorhun shooting. GREAT STORY

Oh don't worry it's coming soon....it will be here on release...oh maybe 1.2....oh no we already have that....maybe 1.3...oh no we already have that!

Well they did say the story will start to unfold on release!

Still waiting. but don't worry, it's coming.......

yeah it is coming. i cant stand it anymore to play unfinished bugged RELEASE games anymore.
i would pay 100 bugs for a game which IS FINISHED WHEN IT COMES OUT!!!!!

People are trying to reply to your original question, yet all you do is keep talking trash.
If you have already decided that all is a scam and everything promised will never happen, then just uninstall and move on.
Better for you, better for this forum.

If you dont want answers then dont ask questions.

I'm sorry, were you expecting to be able to participate in the negotiations? The story is the beginning of a war, therefore you can pick a side and fight on it.

well if you one of these people who accept unfinished bugged game then im not talking to you .-) thats simple

Then why are you here if all you do is trash talk everyone and ignore what people are saying?
What is the objective of your post if you don't listen to what people are telling you?

You asked a question, i answered, you ignored and now even telling me you arent asking me.
Then who are you asking?
For the sake of everyone, uninstall the game and move on.
You will never like ED, and your just ruining the fun for those that do.

onyl because i dont agree with you doesnt mean that im not listening to you.
i like the game. but i dont accept an unfinished product anymore. and that my opinion. and you have yours. and this opinion about: it will come wait for. this opinion i dont care anymore.

and it wasnt really a question. it was a statemant. because there is no story

Because there IS story. Fact that you don't want to accept how it is told is YOUR problem with the game, not FD is to blame for not telling story at all.

Fact is that there is story. It is told in a way FD plans to do story telling in ED. You might find it unacceptable - fine, but stop spreading FUD and lies that there's no story. Because that's not true.

if you think so. its ok. for me and a lot of others there is no story.

Then just leave, what is keeping you?
Why even bother writing on the forum if you "know" what will and will not happen with ed?
All you do now is spread negativity and bad attitude

You acting like a spoiled child who didnt get all you wanted for christmas.

The great big story is in the background simulation. You discover it in little pieces and randomly when you take up tasks. You have to use your imagination too.

P.S I suspect that the story is procedurally generated.

Two things to consider:

1) Epic means slow-moving.

2) Game mechanics are still buggy in places so story progression is better halted until everything that is needed is working properly.

Also, when the story really gets going, you cannot expect to be Commander Shepard saving the Galaxy. You are just another small-time spacer trying to earn a living in a big Galaxy.

that would be ok. but everyone knew that the beta wasnt finished. that the gamma wasnt finished. they could easily tested with us the story but no it will start at release well but it isnt working.
wel then we could expand the beta for 2 or 3 months. but no. like everyone just release buggy game

ah you mean it is in the bugged repuation system and the broken trading system. nice story

This is called moving goalposts, and it's a tactic most commonly used when one realizes they were wrong. So at least that is a good sign.
You are obviously just butthurt this game doesn't hold your hand like Hello Kitty adventures. It's understandable, some people like games where they are on rails and have one path to move along. This is not and was never advertised as that. Go play STO, you can point and click and watch cut scenes and stuff, it will probably be more enjoyable to you.
